Remarks

When I completed my wbjee exams I knew for sure I wanted to join a college which would help me have a lot of opportunities. Unlike other colleges, in Netaji Subhash Engineering College the administrative staff are extremely helpful and had made the process of admission easy. Being a new student to the college I was terrified to enter college on the first day however, all the departmental teachers made sure to make it a comfortable environment for us. Our orientation period was extremely good and it helped me make a load of memories. As time went we were introduced to many clubs in the college such as robotics, photography, and many more. The seniors were extremely welcoming, they made sure to make us feel comfortable and welcome in the new environment. I have been a part of this college for almost 2 years now and I am extremely satisfied with my decision of choosing this college. Our college has organized many fests both cultural and tech and we have loads of fun at those events.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

My decision to choose Applied Electronics and instrumentational engineering was based on the fact that I personally have always been more keen on learning the core of the subjects. IT sector is not my cup of tea and hence I figured this would be my perfect option. Also, I'm looking forward to pursuing a higher degree in the same course and this line will help me in doing so. The faculty is extremely great. I cannot stress this enough! They have been extremely helpful throughout this process. Even during these times of coronavirus when we are all locked up at home and online classes are the only option for us, the teachers have made it extremely easy for us. They have tried their level best to make the process easy for us by providing us class notes every week.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

There are no such internship opportunities provided by college however when a student gets an internship off-campus the college tries its level best to help the student manage his new work experience and academic life.

Placement Experience

4.5

We do have a number of companies that come in every year to provide job opportunities for students passing out that year. Major companies like TCS is the main recruiter in our college. My plans after completing the degree to get a proper job and start earning on my own.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for the total 4-year course is around 4 lakh which according to me is reasonable keeping in mind the facilities that the college provides. At the end of 4 years, there are many opportunities for placements in major companies such as TCS.

Campus Life

4.5

Every year our college organizes several fests and it is like a festival for all of us. Everyone is included in the preparation for these events. During January our cultural fest - mesmerizer is held and during April our tech fest - Avenir is held. Also, our department Applied electronics and instrumentational engineering has its own fest or alumni meet - sambar. We have monthly football matches. We also have tug war tournaments. We have social clubs such as photography, Rotaract, and many more.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There are a number of PG options near our college. even though our college doesn't have any hostel, students coming from various states reside in PGs near the college. Our college has a canteen which has a bunch of meal options to choose from and on days when we are extremely hungry we run to that place often.

Interview Experience

4.5

Students are given proper training for GD rounds by experts who also teach us how to prepare a resume which we will need at the end of 4 years. For admission you can either be admitted by the JEE mains result or by the WBJEE result. I personally took admission via WBJEE.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
