My experience at PCCOE

As I wanted to study in Pune, this college was best suited for me from fees and placements perspective. It is one of the best engineering colleges in Pune. My overall experience has been a good one. Though there are some things like strict attendance and a heavy schedule that may bother someone it can be neglected. PCCOE has its policy of grooming an individual into a fine engineer. Otherwise, it has all good aspects. Academics, experience faculty, sports, gymnasium, and club activities. Technical groups and teams to showcase your engineering knowledge, high rate of placements. The admission is based on your CET or JEE scores as it is for all the colleges in State.

The course curriculum is created by SPPU, to whom the college is affiliated. It is well defined and structured according to industry demands. Every 3 years the course is updated accordingly to the changes in industry and technology. You have common subjects in FE and SE onwards the core subjects are taught. Faculty at PCCOE are all dedicated and experienced teachers, with few of them having completed their PhD. They apply the practical and real-world teaching methodology and readily support students in their studies and exam preparation as well. It is all possible due to the number of teachers available in a dept. Usually, the student to teachers ratio at PCCOE is about 1:8.

It provides some interesting internship opportunities. As the college has now become autonomous, it has broadened its MoUs with some international universities and is offering internships there as well. You, also can approach companies and apply for internships and present them as your BE project.

Campus placement is the crown jewel of this college. The Training and Placement staff, teachers, and volunteers take extreme efforts for each and every student, developing them for the nether world of career and life. Companies like Wipro Infosys IBM Adobe Capgemini SKF TATA Motors visit the campus every year. Nearly 70% of students get placed every year. An average package of 4 LPA is offered and it can go as high as 22 LPA.

The fee structure is not too steep. For BE course it is around 1.25 lakhs. Also, the college is supportive if students face any problems related to fees. You can manage fees through various scholarships available. The government and some private organizations provide scholarships on a merit basis. The college has no scholarship of its own but it provides an opportunity to earn by working after-hours in the library and different offices.

The infrastructure is pretty good. No complaints about classrooms, labs, canteen, and hostel whatsoever. There are a total of 9 building on the campus 3 libraries are open for 12 hours and have abundant books and reference materials for all the academic and exam needs. Workshops and labs are all equipped with tools and machinery. If you live in the hostel, then social life is great. Many technical and social events are held. Some of them are Swartarang, Spektrum and TECHNOFEST. Sports teams are present in College and they participate in various state and intercollegiate tournaments.
