Remarks
I got into this college after appearing for WBJEE 2019. The counseling process helped me get into this college. The course that I've opted for is available in very few colleges in West Bengal. One of which is NSEC. It is the first college under the Techno India group. Hence well renowned. N the BME dept.her is NBA and NAAC accredited.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is very rarely taught in colleges in West Bengal. But it is really interesting. Also , as it is related to the medical field, the demand is also increasing day by day. Since the total number of seats is less hence the department is smaller compared to other departments. A class has roughly 30-35 students. This facilitates better teacher student interactions and personal care. Faculty is helpful ,well qualified and disciplined. Students are helped whenever they face any problems. Terminal exams and internals are held twice in a semester to check progress of the students.
Internships Opportunities
Internship options are available. Students can also go for industrial training. This varies from one department to another. Students can do internships and trainings based on their fields of study. Like our field requires hospital trainings. Students have to look for internships themselves. The college provides the NOC so that students can join the same. In this regard , I think the college should take some initiative to let students know about internship opportunities from time to time. And help them to find one.
Placement Experience
Campus placements are offered. Multiple companies do visit the college. TCS is the mass recruiter. Also core companies depending on the stream visit the companies. The number of IT companies visiting the college is more than the other core companies. Students who want to opt for job get fairly placed. You can also go for higher studies if you don't want to opt for jobs.
Fees and Financial Aid
The approximate cost of studying the course for a General Category student is 4-4.5 lakhs. Students can also take admission through TFW rankings. The fees is really low in that case or if any other categories or conditions are present. Scholarships and Educational Loans are also available.
Campus Life
Well, talking about campus life, the college has a number of clubs operating inside it. All these clubs take different initiatives. Various activities go on all year round including cultural, sports, social works, etc. Students can actively take part in those. It also benefits them in various other ways. The library and laboratories are well equipped. Talking about campus life with friends, well that depends on you and the circle you choose, you're always going to have a different life in that. But it would have been really good if the college had a bigger campus and places for students to just sit and have a gala time with their friends. That is not available within the campus. That's mostly outside the premises.
