Biomedical department review of NSEC

Here are some good aspects. The college is very eco friendly, the campus is large enough, the location of the college is amazing not a crowded place at all, transportation is easy, there are many recreational facilities available in this college like we have many clubs like Rotaract club, entrepreneurs club, photography club, cultural club, photography club, tech club and many more. we have many fests in our college. The college always participates in many state-level and national-level competitions and has a good rank in it. The faculty members are very helpful especially in the Biomedical department, they will be always there when you need them. Labs and classrooms are well equipped and there is 100 percent placement. The admission process is through counseling of entrance exams In Kolkata, NSEC is the only college having Biomedical engineering. And the reason for preferring this college is the placement is very good, the highest package is 12lac and lowest 3.5 lac.

Biomedical Engineering is in high demand in the world right now, in India it is emerging but abroad it is well established and the jobs are honorable enough. The package is also good enough. This is a field where you have to deal with the medical instruments and tests why have to study physics and biology both which is an amazing combination. Faculty members are seriously very well educated and helpful, as the students are less in this department that's why teachers give personal effort and attention behind every student. There are 7 permanent Faculty members in the Biomedical department and right now have 30 students approx in each year, but recently the seats are being increased to 60. All the Faculty members have a doctorate degree and well experienced, even the lab assistants are very good and helpful. Semester exams come in every 6 months and in between these 6 months there are many internal exams.

Companies like Tcs, Wipro, Seimens, Cognito give intership offers to our college and for Biomedical students reputed hospitals in Kolkata. These companies give industrial training and in the hospitals, interns will learn to deal with all types of machines and instruments of the medical field

From the 7th semester, students are interviewed for placements Cognito, Medtronic, Wipro, Amazon, tcs. Highest package 12 lac per annum Lowest package 3.5 lac per annum 90 % of students get placement Not yet decided

Generally, every private college in Kolkata has a package of a maximum of 4 lacs, it is the same in Netaji Subhash engineering college too. 3.7 lacs approx. Students don't have to pay the full fees at one time, fees are divided semester-wise, students have to pay every semester. There are some scholarships like the Pragati scholarships for girls and some from the West Bengal government. And there are seats for TFW students (tuition fees waiver) but for that, they need separate ranks and documents.

College life is amazing. Our annual fest is a mesmerizer and tech fest is Avenir.it depends on which month it holds. Seriously students need not buy any book, the library is really well equipped, there are lacs and lacs of books on every topic and subjects. Classrooms are cleaned, large, and good There is a separate club of sports and all the sports amenities are available.

No, I didn't have that type of interview but one of our faculty members had a deep conversation with me while admission. Actually, student's rank in the entrance exams like wbjee or jee mains is seen. After the result declaration of the entrance exams, students have to appeal for counseling and then they will get a seat in a college.
