Remarks
I joined this college in the year 2017. The main reasons behind choosing this college were, firstly this Institution is very old (ESTD 1998). The college is under Techno India Group and is one of the premium institutes of many Top MNCs like TCS, CTS, etc. The Placement record of this college for the past few years is exceptionally well. The Admission Process mainly starts in June - July and you are mostly selected based on your merit list in various exams like WBJEE and JEE mains. The classes start in August. This College provides 2 Streams ie AEIE and BME that are taught in very less colleges across West Bengal, so if you are interested in Instrumentation and Bio-Medical Engineering, this is the best College. I did saw the reviews of this college before joining Collegedunia and other websites that made me choose that this is the best Institution for me to pursue my Degree.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this stream because I was interested in transducers, motors, etc, all these will be taught to you if you take up this stream. The faculties here are highly qualified, and have a minimum of 10 years of teaching experience, and are very helpfull, a fee of the teachers also has Ph.D. The student: teacher ratio is 10 :1. We have 3 internal exams before each semester, the difficulty level of the papers varies from moderate to difficult.
Internships Opportunities
This year CTS offered internship opportunities to the placed students with a monthly stipend of 12K . Many companies also provide internship programs before onboarding. We also get to do 2 projects for our curriculum and the teachers assigned help us to clarify tasks.
Placement Experience
The placement starts from the 6th Semester. Several companies visit our college for hiring, the main companies are TCS, CTS, Wipro, Microsoft, Amazon, etc. The highest package is 8-10 LPA and the average package varies from 3-4 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed varies from 70-80%. Since I am already Placed in 2 companies my plan is to serve any 1 among them.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure varies with seniority the overall cost is roughly 3.85LPA which is to be paid in 8 semesters. The fees are generally taken in November and March. There is scope for Scholarships and Financial Assistance but specific documents are to be published to the college office. The Job I got on campus were from Companies TCS and CTS.
Campus Life
Our College conducts an annual tech fest and encourages departmental tech fest, the timings depend on the post sem breaks. The books are readily available in the library. 10 books are issued to an individual at a time that needs to be reissued per month. We also have an online library where we can browse through many books, journals, etc. The classrooms are fitted with smart boards and we have a seminar room in each department. The college also focuses on extracurricular activities like football, cricket, etc.
