Remarks
The good thing about this college is that every information is provided on their website and everything is transparent. Plus there are a lot of activities and clubs apart from the academics one can take part in like the Robotics club, Photography club to name a few. Then there is an indoor as well as outdoor games facility. The admission process is fairly simple as long as you have all the required documents for admission.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course as from childhood I was interested in Automobiles. And enrolling in this course was the next best thing. The faculty: student ratio is around 1:5 which gives the required attention one might need. The best part of the Department of Mechanical Engineering is that all the faculty members are well qualified in their relevant disciples. We also have the privilege as some of our senior faculty members have worked in industries for quite some time which adds a different dimension to the teaching and learning experience. There were two Unit Tests or some may call it mid-terms for each semester before the end of semesters exams happened. As long as one studies for the test it is fairly easy to pass.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements during their final year. This year fairly a large number of campanies came to recruit from our department. I cannot comment much regarding this as I was not that much involved in the placement process. I am planning for my higher studies after finishing my bachelor.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost of the study is like any other private college in Kolkata. There are not any campus jobs available. And I haven't applied to any scholarships during my studies so I can't comment on Scholarship availability.
Campus Life
The campus life is quite lively. There are many activities available which one might take part in. There is one annual tech fest that happens around March. There is also another tech fest exclusively for our college which happens in February. The book availability is ok but not great. Classrooms are equipped with A.C. from the Third year plus there is a projector facility in most of the classrooms.
