A 360 degree perspective of KIET

The reason for choosing KIET was the good infrastructure and its intellectual faculty. Sports and extracurricular activities attracted me towards kiet. The disciplinary committee (of boys hostel) I would say is a little slow in their process and takes a lot of time in delivering justice. The admissions are done through UPSEE entrance results as well as direct admissions are also there based on the 12th percentage. Many core companies have paid a visit to Kiet campus recruitment drives including the Indian Army and Indian Navy so provide a good opportunity to defence enthusiast and government job aspirants.

After researching a lot I found KIET is the only college in AKTU where 6-7 core companies of electrical and electronics engineering pay a visit for recruitment. So comparatively KIET is good in terms of core placements. A fairly good faculty to student ratio is there. For each subject, you can find 5-6 teachers which can easily handle a branch of 180 students. Max Qualification of teachers here is doctorate level and minimum Mtech. So yes you can expect a knowledgeable and intellectual environment in academics. The teaching method is quite interesting as most of them undergo the same course so they know how tedious traditional teaching was so they always create the best possible ways to clear the concepts for students. 2 Class test take place two times in a semester, 2 pre University pattern exams and final semester exams occur regularly in the allotted time. (exception - this time due to COVID-19). You can pass the exams with little hard work as the level goes on increasing year by year.

KIET provides on as well as off campus internships and they can be paid or just certificate based ie non paid based on the applied profile. College provides on-campus internships for IT profile students at TBI and off campus for marketing as well as for IT profile at amazon, Adobe, CISCO, Innovacer etc. Based on the resume and aptitude round they shortlist students for different internships but yes one technical project related to your branch would be a cherry on the cake.

From 6 semester students are eligible for paid internships and from 7 sem onwards they become eligible for placements. One can apply for different paid internships based on their profile. For IT profile - Accenture, Capgemini, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Goldman Sachs, Adobe, New gen, HCL, Innovacer For core profile - Torrent Power, Mohan energy, HUL, Larsen and Toubro, Crompton greaves Ltd etc For marketing profile - Certybox, Emonics, Byjus, Toppr, Xtramarks etc The highest package was in 2019 offered by Goldman Sachs India of 33 LPA and the average package is around 3.7 - 4 LPA. Around 80 percent of Students get place every year.

-College fees for 1st year is around 129000 which includes security money also. From the 2nd year onwards fee will be around 119000 including your maintenance and fest fee. - For semester exams you have to pay 8500 per year separately. -Hostel fee is around 85000. Students can avail Uttar Pradesh govt scholarships on the basis of their category by completing various documentations and form fillings. Max. Scholarship amount for GEN/OBC students - 56000. Max. Scholarship amount for SC/ST - 120000. The amount can vary. -Fee waiver scheme is also there for underprivileged students which can be availed at the time of admission process.

EPOQUE is the college fest of KIET where popular celebrities of Bollywood pays the visit for entertainment purposes. PRASTUTI is the cultural fest of KIET. The duration of both fests is around 2-3 days(in April). INNOTECH is the tech fest of KIET where inter college competitions take place. Duration - 2 days (in November) I think the most centralised library of AKTU is KIET, you can find any book related to any branch. Even out of course also. You can find any books for GATE, CAT, GRE, PSUs, IES and any other competitive exam here. RANN is the inter college sports fest of KIET where we can witness a lot of enthusiasm and determination in students for the victory of their college. Duration - 3 days (In February). Also, the college provides good opportunities in sports so a sports enthusiast can definitely prefer this college. Uddeshya, SAE, coders corner, Innogeeks, KIET dramatics society, C-cell, Pragmatic and Sparx are some college clubs where one can hone their extracurricular skills.
