Entrance Preview

I took Kerala entrance i chose this college as it was the best in Kerala. Best decision I made till date. There is so much life in the campus

Course Curriculum Overview

It's average there curriculum is set by Kerala university and not the college. So that isn't different from other colleges. What's different is the level of the teachers and students. Hence the rigor is high the number of electives you can choose from its pretty high in number.

Internships Opportunities

No internships have to be found by oneself they can orifice us with contacts is all. But the college's reputation does make it easier to get internships.

Placement Experience

It's excellent the placement wing functions very well almost everyone who sits for placements do get in somewhere. Having said that should add that the toppers nearly always get the best jobs. There will be GPA cutoffs to be eligible for a particular company.

Faculty

The faculty is the best in Kerala civil engineering faculty is probably the best in South India. They don't have any day on what they have to teach which is a shame. They have to follow the curriculum set by Kerala university. They are very helpful if you need them.

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Life at CET

This college is the best government college in Kerala. It has been consistently first in KIRF ranking. It has very cheap fees. The campus is very beautiful and spacious (about 200 acres). My best choice of colleges very IITs and NITs like most people. I couldn't crack JEE. I only applied to this college because I had very high ranking in KEAM exam and was confident of acceptance. KEAM exam is a lot easier to crack than JEE. It has basic higher secondary school syllabus. To get my course you would have to be around 700th rank. To get other courses in my college you can have rank as low as 20k....Read More
