Remarks
There are various reasons to choose my college. Firstly, I prefer Biomedical Engineering over other engineering departments and I only find this department in our college. The admission process is done through WBJEE counseling. Collegedunia helped me to get familiar with this department.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen this course as it is a unique course and this field is a rising one. The faculties are good and they take care of each student individually. The faculties are well qualified from prestigious universities. The exams are taken monthly and questions are standard.
Internships Opportunities
Our college arranges for internships but there is no stipend. Our department is biomedical and we do internships in hospitals. We analyze the machines there and have to submit a final project in order to be certified.
Placement Experience
All the students become eligible for being recruited from the end of the 7th semester. Various IT companies TCS, IBM, Cognizant, Wipro, etc. visit our college. The highest package this year was 10,00,000 and the average package is 4,50,000. 90% of the students get placed through campus recruitment and the other 10% get placed through offline placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is approximately 4 lakhs for 4 years. There are schemes of scholarships based on merits and financially backward students. The tuition fee waiver (TFW) scheme is also applicable here.
Campus Life
The annual fest is conducted every year. Departmental fests are also conducted every year and tech fests are also conducted yearly. All the books are available in the college library which is required for our course curriculum. There is also a reading room where all can read whatever they want to. Classrooms are all equipped with projectors. Annual sports are conducted on college grounds. Several clubs are run by the students which are helpful for the upliftment of character and knowledge of the students.
