Netaji Subhash Engineering College has been providing good quality education for a long time. I am currently in my 4th year of B.Tech in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation. Our college provides seamless facilities for proper education and it also has a Digital Library for its students. The classrooms are spacious and there are all kinds of medium for education be it projector screen or blackboard. The admission procedure takes place in proper steps and it also provides online means for paying fees as well. Our college is also NAAC accredited and it was ranked third in West Bengal among all Engineering colleges in 2018.
Course Curriculum Overview
Applied Electronics and Instrumentation is a well-structured course for B.Tech. In Netaji Subhash Engineering College, the AEIE department has a great faculty of teachers and professors. The entire faculty has 10 teachers and there are approximately 260-300 students in total. The teachers are very frank and friendly with us and provide help in all situations, be it studies or other stuff related to college. The Laboratories are equipped with all sort of equipment and component required for our experiments. Semester Exams were held twice a year and assignments are provided throughout the curriculum and there are two unit tests every semester, which is difficult exams but the teachers prepare us well for it.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, our college provides internship offers for students via both on-campus and off-campus hiring. The college provides leave for the students who are undertaking internships from other companies. Our college participates in various Hackathons and Robotic competitions and has secured prize-winning positions at many places.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements from the penultimate year of their course curriculum. Reputable companies like TCS, Cognizant, LTI and many more are the major recruiters in our college. Also, Microsoft, Amazon, Byju's, etc. Also recruit students and offer good salary packages. The average package offered is about 3 LPA or 4 LPA and it extends to almost 14 LPA - 16 LPA. Almost 80-90% of students get placed from every stream every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees currently are Rs 41000 per semester in 1st year and increases by Rs 1000 for every year which is quite favourable compared to other private colleges in the state. Our college provides good quality training and services for our betterment. Many students get jobs in reputable companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, Byju's, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Cognizant and many more.
Campus Life
Our campus life is really exciting. We have our annual Tech fest called Avenir and cultural fest known as Mesmerizer every year and even some departments have their own fests or events throughout the year. Our college also organizes a sports tournament every year called Zest. The library has a lot of books of various authors and in good quantity for all students. The classrooms are spacious and well equipped. There are also other groups for extracurricular activities be it writing or photography. It also has an entrepreneurship cell called NSEC E-Cell.
