Remarks
The admission process was super easy and quick. The college offers various 3 yr. courses and has quality teaching staff. The campus is clean, spacious and has an appealing architecture. The thing I like the most about Hansraj (or DU overall) is that students from across the nation come here and we get to learn so many things that we didn't already know. Freedom & discipline co-exist here.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty members are truly very learned people, they make the concepts easier for us to grasp. From what I see, the student ratio in Hansraj is almost 1:1. The management is very good and exams are always held in a timely manner (even in the lockdown period everything was conducted as it is scheduled every year!) and they always have sufficient time gaps.
Internships Opportunities
The college has an internship portal and almost every other day lots of internships from reputed firms appear there (both stipend and non-stipend based. There are various profiles such as content writing, data entry, sales management, marketing, publicity and sales operations.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements from the 3rd yr itself. They go for both on and off campus placements. Many of them go for higher studies as well. I got to know that one of the seniors got placed in Google last year and got a package of 13 lac p.a. I personally wish to go for civil services.
Fees and Financial Aid
Thankfully our college did not hike our fees and considering the quality education it is providing to us, I reckon 50,000 INR/year is very much justifiable. In addition to this, the college offers scholarships to students of every course except the ones which are SFCs (self-funding courses).
Campus Life
Lively! Our college holds annual fest and each of the departments also has their respective fests with lots of games and fun activities. My CS dept. holds the tech fest CYNOSURE and it's as fun and learn both going together. We learn a lot about event management in real. We have NSS and NCC in our college plus various other clubs like Kavyanjali (poetry club), SpicMacay (for Indian culture and classical music), Swaranjali (for singing), Nishta (for UPSC aspirants) of which students can be a part of and polish their skills. These societies also hold many events, seminars from time to time. Wide range of sports. We have to lend our college IDs in the sports room and then we can take whatever items we wish to play, be it for cricket, football, volleyball, chess and even carrom!
