Remarks

It was one of the top colleges of Orissa with having a good placement record. It has a vast alumni network, and this helps in getting a great summer internship. It also has a very elite panel of faculties.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is good with a nice blend of both theory and practicals. The courses are designed keeping in mind the latest technology trend in the market. The faculty panel is quite experienced and have sufficient expertise in their domain. They are very easy to reach and readily available. Each semester has one exam which is scheduled at the end of the semester.

Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Placement Experience

The placement in the college is good with around 90% of students getting atleast 1 offer. There is a long list of companies visiting, some of the companies are TCS Infosys Wipro MindTree persistent etc. The average package offered is around 3.5 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee is around 150000 annually which include the hostel fee excluding the mess fee. The mess fee is around 3000 monthly. The scholarship is also available under various state and sports quota. Some of the top IT companies are part of the campus recruitment process.

Campus Life

The campus life is decent with restriction to return to campus before 7 pm. annually tech & annual fest is organised in the month of September. Amenities inside campus includes a gym, basketball ground, volleyball court, badminton court with indoor sports like table tennis, chess and carrom. There is also tv room where u can watch your favourite channels. Other amenities include a cafeteria and shops inside the campus. The campus also has a library with a good collection of all the required books and journals which can be issued for 2 weeks and extended further.

Interview Experience

The prerequisites for admission is either to qualify for the OJEE exam or to give AIEEE exam. There is no group discussion or interview process involved apart from the above-mentioned exam. The OJEE exam consists of MCQ from the field of mathematical physics and chemistry.

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Placements are ok but majority of the placement are for the IT and Cse sectors, but there are some core companies which offers a good packages. Around 40-50 % students pare placed in the companies and more over most of the students are up for the higher studies and cracking GATE exam.

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .
