Remarks
I prefer this college because it is under the Panjab University or it is a department of Punjab University which is a reputed university globally. NIRF ranking of Panjab University is 5 which is very good. Although, this college is in the backward area of Chandigarh. Here, you get time to do your own things. There is not as much load of homework as in the private colleges. If you want to prepare for other exams then here you can get a better environment for that. As there is not as much distraction as it is in the rural type area. For admission, you have to take part in JAC Chandigarh counselling in which you have allotted college on the basis of your JEE rank. JAC Chandigarh count begins after JEE exams end.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because according to my rank it is given to me and by doing this course we can apply in its companies and core companies both. And one main reason, by doing this course we are eligible for the IES exam. Here, most of the faculty are highly educated and explain the concepts very well. They are very friendly to students. Here, the student ratio is very bad which is 10:2 Boy: Girl. Most of the teachers of core subjects are a researcher in their field and their teaching method is nice. There are two midterm exams and one end sends the exam in each semester. You can easily score well if you prepare at least one week before exams.
Placement Experience
Students from the 7th semester are eligible for placements. Here mass recruiter is Wipro and TCS. The average package of students is 5 lakh per year and the highest package is 8-9 lakh per year. Almost all students are placed from CSE, IT and ECE. But placement ratio for mechanical is not good.
Fees and Financial Aid
Here, the fees structure is like this. 1,05,240 rupees per year and it increases for each batch. There is a various scholarship given to students who are financially week. For the students who take admission by PWD Kota or EWS category, there is some relaxation in fees for them.
Campus Life
There are various books of all kind in the library which is named as Jain library it is also accessible online. There are various clubs in college as a platform for coding, TPC for placement purpose, Varta debating society.
