Remarks
An amazing place for those who want to make the best out of 4 years of engineering. A college which will not only give you B.Tech degree but also lot of opportunities and confidence to grow as a person and develop a good personality and interpersonal skills. T he faculty is very friendly and supportive. It is a place where if you go, you will either be someone like the Alumni of MIT, Satya Nadela or just be another common man. There's nothing in between.
Entrance Preview
I have taken the common ENtrance Examination. I got a rank of 738. There are three main reason's as to why I choose my school. First and foremost I wanted to be far enough away from home to live on my own and yet close enough to come back on the weekends or in case of family emergency's, since I am after all extremely family oriented coming from a large family. Secondly, I wanted a school that offered a good program for the major that I choose, which was Electronics. Lastly, I wanted a school that has got various extra curricular activities for utilising my skills in arts and sports.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is excellent and i think its better than many other college and its very easy curriculum to understand the curriculum is based on the Calicut university guidance.Course curriculum covers both theoretical and practical classes. There are sessional tests and assignments for every semester. Also seminar and project work is also there during the last semester.
Internships Opportunities
Government gives many stipends to students through several programs. Many students go for various companies for internships in last year of degree. Companies like infocys, intel, Siemens, hcl, bhel etc are the companies came for internships.
Placement Experience
The college provides job and internship for ECE and Mechanical but is average for the rest of the branches. The average salary is around Rs. 3.5 LPA. The college has a good alumni network. It’s the best part of this college. IBM, Wipro & Accenture are the major recruiters for these branches.
College Events
It’s an annual inter-college techno-cultural fest held in March. Special competitions like Ad-Zab, paper presentations, App Presentations, quiz, code hunt are conducted as a part of this grand technical fest. Symposium and cultural's are very perfectly conducted and give opportunity to all students.The most fabulous event of our college is the college day that would be celebrated every year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Like most other colleges in the city the fee structure is different for students who got a seat through CET and through Paid quota. Government fee structure rs 3200 per year. It is feasible for all students. Fee can remits parts by parts in a year. No fees for SC ST students. Students with no money pta will adopt them.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes our college gives all type of scholarship for caste based and religion based scholarship and the scholarship dept take care of that. Other than this, toppers in semester examination are encouraged with the cash prizes every year at the college day function.
Campus Life
My college campus life is very entertaining everyday. we never see a caste or religion are anything else we enjoy our life as a family inside the campus. Hostel parties conduct by hostel mates for various celebrations like birthday etc. No religious or caste discrimination in campus. Good political atmosphere in college. Parties like KSU,sfi works in campus.
Hostel Facilities
Our hostel is far way better than most colleges and it costs around 4000 per month including food. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. They have separate mess where both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food are provided separately. The hostel food was decent in taste as well as quality. Home stay are also available outside the campus.
Alumni/Alumna
The college has a good alumni network. A lot of old student get together and other events are organised by the Alumni.
Exam Structure
Exams are semester based. Lab exams are also conducted during every semester. Sessional tests and assignments are conducted during each semester. Internal marks would be calculated from these tests. Viva , Seminar and Project conducted during the last semester.
Faculty
Good faculty most of faculty are appointed by government through psc exams. Some of them are guests. Many have Ph.D and master degrees. The faculty of our college are very friendly and the always there for us to help in studies and extra curricular skills.
