According to me fee structure of college is quite bit expensive. Currently fees for open category is around 1 lac to 1.3 lac and that for OBS is around half of that.

The scheme envisages loans up to Rs.7.5 lakh for studies in India and up to Rs. 15 lakh for studies abroad for loans up to Rs. 4 lakh no collateral or margin is required and the interest rate is not to exceed the Prime Lending Rates (PLR). For loans above Rs. 4 lakh the interest rate will not exceed PLR plus 1 percent. The loans are to be repaid over a period of 5 to 7 years with provision of grace period of one year after completion of studies.

The one and only hangout near Sinhgad College of Engineering (SCOE) is the Smokin Joes pizza outlet, which is in the campus itself. Outside, there is nothing. Come on, it’s a village, Sinhgad Academy of Engineering has its Cultural fest-Sinhgad Karandak sometime in February. It also has two technical festivals called Technofest, and Innofest.

C lean, hygienic and quality food is available at subsidized rates in the mess of all the hostels. There is “Amrapali” mess for boys and separate mess “Annapurna” exclusively for girls in the campus.ere is a mess here, but no one really eats there. Food is termed ‘inedible’. The canteen, however, is pretty good, and quite reasonable.

Placements for Computer science and Information Technology Departments are quit good but for Core branches like mechanical, electrical aren’t up to the mark. Accenture, Godrej Infotech, Qualex, ADP ,H.S.B.C., Reliance Info comm are some of major recruiters.Eligible students and almost 100% placements are observed. Alumni network is also pretty good. All in all very good corporate contact.

Starting this year, the examination pattern for first-year engineering (FE) will undergo a paradigm shift. The 100-marks exam, which used to be conducted at the end of an academic year, will now be divided into three. The move is aimed at ensuring continuous assessment of students throughout the year.The first two exams will be online and for 25 marks each. There are 10 subjects in FE. Each online test will have questions from the first two chapters of each subject. The final exam, however, will be conducted in the traditional way and will be held in the third month of the semester."This exam pattern will also make the colleges complete their syllabus on time.
