Remarks
KIET Group of Institutions is one of the top-ranked colleges in the NCR, hence it was definitely worth a shot. When I first visited the campus, I was sold. I knew I had made my choice. Ever since then, the people there, and the faculty too has been a huge support and inspiration. Even during the ongoing pandemic, the teachers and the department help the best they can, with online classes, course materials and quizzes. Any help needed is always available. Besides the academic, the institution is also keen on extracurricular activities, which includes projects, research papers and other cultural activities. We are encouraged towards practical learning after building our theoretical concepts.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty is helpful and sincere in their efforts. Even in the ongoing pandemic, the faculty does its best to take and clear any and all students' doubts and promote practical learning. Sessional exams are scheduled to help students check their learning.
Internships Opportunities
The institution offers internship opportunities both on-campus and off-campus. For on-campus internships, we can work on any project of our choice with the department, and understand all the works of it. For off-campus internships, the KIET TBI cell helps us in whatever field and company we want to intern in.
Placement Experience
More than 250 companies grace the campus with recruitments. Major recruiters are — Capgemini, Accenture, TATA, Wipro, Infosys. Other companies like — Amazon, Adobe, Hitachi, Samsung, etc — also recruit students from campus. In session 2020-21, the highest package was 27.4 LPA. The last year 1640 of 1800 students got placed through campus placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for the session 2020-21 has been Rs. 120000/-. I am a day scholar so I am not completely sure about the fees to avail hostel and mess facilities. There's also Scholarship and Financial Aid for those who are in need.
Campus Life
There are a number of Fests organized by the institution — Epoch, Prastuti, Rann, Innotech etc. They are organised throughout the year, and maximum participation is encouraged. Additionally, facilities like library and in-campus cafes are also there. Classrooms are equipped with basic amenities and are air-conditioned. The institution has various societies and clubs where you can join in and build up your social life.
Interview Experience
Yes, I had a written test for admission. The course for the same was that of what I had studied in class 12th. It is a standard procedure for the institution. The test isn't lengthy, just a one-hour session.
