The peace and tranquility of the campus is ideal for spiritual and intellectual pursuits. The ambience of MBC is the best in Kerala to translate one’s transient ideas into meaningful quests and dreams into real achievements.

I took the kerala engineering entrance and secured a rank within 7000 to secure a seat for the course in this college.

The course curriculum was very relevant for the current industry standards and the facilities in the college supported the curriculum. The latest topics were included in the curriculum. The university affiliated to was MG University Kottayam, a very fast and forward looking university in Kerala.

It provided but at that time being a newer college it was not in bigger companies. We were provided internship in branch relevant industry such as ALIND.

The college in initial period didn't had a very active placement cell. But as the years came down, the placement cell become very active and separate personnel were engaged to effectively supervise and coordinate placement activities. Many students from our batch got placed in various companies.

The college had very active committees for conducting extra curricular activities. For conducting various activities related to subject, each branch had student committees to organize such events. In the period of four years theses committees conducted annual programmes such as sports meant and cultural meet.

Fee structure in this college during that time was very reasonable and every student poor rich was able to afford it. It followed a fee structure proposed by government of kerlala and All India Council for Technical Education. Also the college provided relaxation and support to eligible students of various category.

Mar baselios christian college of engineering and technology peermade is managed by Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, which plays a paternal role in the institution’s establishment and operations. The institution focuses on offering baccalaureate degree programs in various Engineering streams and it provides scholarship / loan facility for various category of eligible students.

The verdant campus of MBC spreads over 77 acres and nestles in the bosom of Mother Nature. Bordered by lush green tea plantations, meadows and reserve forest, the campus overlooks pine forests, cardamom, coffee plantations. The evening sky often treats one with a dazzling display of colors.

The college is located in a high range location. So most of the students were from other localities. 90 percent of the students were coming from a distance of 80km or more. Hence hostel facility was one of the primary requirement of the institution. The college has separate hostel for girls and boys.

The weather is cool and misty with the clouds drifting high over the mountains giving frequent drizzles. The Periyar Lake and the Thekkady Wildlife Sanctuary, is just 40 Kilometres from the College Campus. This echo friendly and Zero pollution ever green campus comes within the catchment area of Periyar Reservoir, a place that is completely devoid of modern day hassles.

In my opinion Bachelor of technology student has the maximum number of exams in a course. A student has to appear for three internal exam during each semester for each subject with relevant modules. After this he has to appear for the external examination conducted by university to get certificate from university. The marks of internal as well as external exams will be combined to give gradw.

The faculty during initial semesters of the course were not so experienced. But tales as the college took age and experience, better faculty started coming in. By the time of completion of course all the faculty were very experienced and having more than required qualifications with doctorates and industry experts.
