This is one of the best colleges under Gauhati University in the middle of Assam with good academic results. Admission is done on the basis of merits for different courses. As I choose zoology as an honors subject because it gives me wide opportunities in the future for job purposes. Department is well equipped with seating capacity with a student ratio of 5:1 All the teacher are doctorate holder along with guest some faculty Per semester there Is 1 midterm and final exam conducted along with a seminar, presentation ( frequency depending on department)

There is no campus placement for all departments are organized but some departments such as chemistry physics and commerce department organized campus placement. But even for the other department student.

Fees per semester vary department to department but it ranges from 4k -6k and it hardly increases every year if it increases it hike up to 5-10% depending on the department. Different scholarships are provided by the college as well as national level scholarships, MLA scholarships, financial assistance to backward class, single girl child scholarships are offered through the college.

The different fest is organized centrally by the college and even by different departments such as economic, English, physics, history, zoology department. Freshmen social are organized for 2 days. Sports week, every month of last January. Cultural fest. There are more than 10 thousand books and journals are available as well as a daily newspaper and online surfing facility are available for the students. Female welfare society are formed where different students from different departments are the member as well as some teachers.

There is a general personal interview for all the students irrespective of any department after there is another round interview where students are segregated on the basis of percentile and admission is given.
