Remarks
I choosed this college over others for the reason being I'm Bengali, wanted to stay in Bengal and choose the college based on my merit. This college sits great to my choice based on my mentor's recommendations. It has a pretty decent college campus with a laboratory, a big library, a college canteen and a garden in between the campus. The placement here is pretty normal, 4 LPA - 5 LPA, though this is not my concern as I choose entrepreneurship. I'm in my first year and find my teachers and senior's very helpful, mostly during this pandemic situation. If you are looking to take admission to this college directly, keep your eyes on mid-July-sept or if you are a WBJEE aspirant you will get easily admitted by ranking under 20k and going through the counselling process.
Course Curriculum Overview
The CSBS is a newly launched course in collab with tata company which you get a guaranteed job from them. The student: faculty ratio is 1:5 somewhat. The teachers are well qualified mostly phd from Jadavpur and prominent universities. The term exams are in the semester system and one can easily pass those by overnight study.
Placement Experience
You can expect a decent placement from our college. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Byjus, Virtuasa visit this college because it is under collaboration with techno India. So they offer you good if you keep your profile good.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are the same as the market university provides. The four-year BTech course program fees will be around 4 lakh. You get a student loan if this amount of money gets heavy for you. For OBC, ST, SC you get scholarship forms provided from the web govt. to avail of scholarships.
Campus Life
This pandemic situation has cancelled all the college fest and fun clubs. The college fest isn't great from the seniors what I have heard. But you get clubs according to your interest where you can perform and show your talent. You get prized and also get a certificate for attaining so.
