Remarks

It is one of the top medical colleges of the state. Admission takes place through NEET which took place on 5th May, 2019 and the admission took place on 10th July. I was assigned this college according to my marks and rank.

Course Curriculum Overview

I had a passion regarding this profession. The faculty students ratio for each department is roughly about 1:25. Teaching mainly consists of lectures and hands on practical classes. The term exams takes place after around every 3-4 months followed by a final MB exam which takes place annually for each year. The difficulty level is moderate.

Class Size: 250Course Fees: INR 36000 per year

Placement Experience

Self practiced or can join as a resident doctor in a hospital or can prepare for pg. If joining as a resident doctor, it can range from 50k to 60k.

College Events

Annual fest of the college named AGON takes place in the month of September, other than it every year reunions are conducted. Books and journals that are required for the course are all available in the library. Classrooms are well equipped with advantages of projectors for presentation and air conditioning. In our college there are huge opportunities of extra curricular activities with clubs like for painting, music debate, quiz etc with our cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, kabaddi team.

Campus Life

Infrastructure is mediocre, facilities like extra curricular activities and sports are well available. The college consists well equipped library, reading rooms and labs. Labs are well maintained with good quality and adequate quantity of equipments

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Best medical College in west bengal

I choose this college because this was the best college I was getting with my NEET rank for sure. The college is located in the heart of Kolkata. All modes of transport are available. The college is of good reputation for teaching the students. The hospital is a large tertiary care hospital that handles more than 1000 patients daily. Foods are best in Kolkata here. Your query on CNMC can solve this

I also applied Nilratan sirkar Medical college, PG hospital and R.G. Kar medical college and hospital. Then I got confirmed admission from R.G.Kar and CNMC. However I decided to study in CNMC. Because my relative studies in this college and also it is better than R.G. Kar . The transport is good here in CNMC as it is situated in central Kolkata. The college ground is comparatively more bigger and good in CNMC. I got rejection from PG as I didn't make it in Cut off marks. In admission process at first one have to crack neet exam and getting good marks (nowadays one should get 650 above marks)is make them to get admission in selective medical colleges through counselling.
