All about IIITN

I preferred this college over others because it provides a very good atmosphere with lot of opportunities to the CS students. Its system of mandatory internships in the final year is quite attractive. the teachers here are quite friendly, helpful as well as experienced. The seniors are also too helpful. They pay good attention to the infrastructure and need of students as it is the only IIIT whose permanent campus is ready in just 4 years and if covid would not have been there then it would have been ready earlier. Keeping in the mind the fact that it is a newly established institute its placements of the first batch were too good that too without taking the aid of its mentor institute VNIT Nagpur. The admission to this college is done on the basis of JEE Main rank through JOSAA counseling and CSAB rounds.

I chose this course because firstly coding is my passion and it is this that made me choose this course. Secondly, IIITN provides the best curriculum as compared to all other IITs, NITs and IIITs. The curriculum is such that from the 2nd semester itself students can focus on some of the most important topics like data structures and algorithms and can completely focus on the internships, in fact internship is mandatory in the final year. The teacher: student ratio is about 2:100. All the teachers are PhD qualified from esteemed colleges like IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, Cambridge University, etc. The term exams continue for over one week the difficulty of them being moderate. Besides these term exams there are quizzes held from time to time.

Internships have been provided by the college at MNCs like Capgemini, TCS, Nvidia, ARM, Stride with the role of software development engineer, Researcher, Data Analyst etc. the highest stipend being 36000. Besides many start-up ideas and projects have been selected in the ASIA's Hackathon and got Cash Prizes.

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Many good companies have come for campus placements like TCS, Stride, Arm, Capgemini, Infosys and many more. Placements of batch 2020 Highest Package-25LPA Average Package-8LPA % of students placed-90%

Unfortunately, the fees is quite high 225200 per year, thus too costly. On top of it the college provides no scholarship or fee reduction. The students have to apply on their own through government sites. Though students can get updates of government colleges if they as the administration.

Annual fest includes ABHIVYAKTI, TANTAFIESTA and SKILLS SPRING. There are many clubs as well to keep the students entertained and also to keep them motivated and competitive. Some of them are : Skills Night-technical club; Dot Slash- Coding club; Strokes-Design club; Crescendo-music club; Orator-debate club. There is a inter IIIT sports meet every year and the the students of IIITN have performed quite well in it. Classrooms have all the basic amenities. The permanent campus even has ACs in every class. IIITN e-library has almost all the books involved in course and also the other important books and is open for all the students.

I have joined the college in 2021 and have not got the chance to stay at college therefore have no experience with the hostel life. but as heard from the seniors it is an amazing experience to be there.
