Remarks

100% placement, Getting admission in my aspired stream make me choose this college over other. Admission is taken through wbjee exam. And my score is eligible for the college. It is one of the best colleges in kolkata.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have interest in programming, so I choose this course. The faculties are quite good and knowledgeable. They help students in all the possible way. The ratio of our class is 5:7.The exams were conducted half yearly basis.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 342000 per year

Placement Experience

After 6th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. More than 100 companies visit campus every year. Highest package is 28 lacs offered by Amazon. Average package is 7 lacs. Company hire for software development role and some sales role. Percentage placement is 90.

College Events

I have enjoyed the entire 4 years in the campus. There are many fest that is held every year. Annual fest, Technical fest, Sports fest, Departmental fest. Every year some celebrity is supposed to perform in annual fest. The technical fest of our college is the largest tech fest of Kolkata. The entire college of Kolkata participate in this fest.

Campus Life

My campus have a well sized palyground, a good sized library, seperate labs for all the subjects, wifi facilities and it is very neat and clean.The library strength is approximately 200. We used to play cricket, football, volleyball in the campus.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
