Remarks
One of the best-hidden gem colleges of Delhi University. Few people are aware of such a good college which should also be known to others, Superb college of DU for doing BCom or BCom (Hons). They have all good facilities and the campus is also the best in all terms. The best crowd and good gender diversification are some of the main things which keep this college top-notch. I found this college attractive while communicating with alumni of the college and while looking on the internet too. Have seen various sites across the internet regarding college review and placement and there is no entrance exam which is the best part. A general candidate with 88%+ can easily get admission to this college after filling DU registration form. The only bad aspect was of hostel facility, If there can be hostel facility in this college then this will be top college in all terms
Course Curriculum Overview
Our course comprises of 4 subjects per semester(6month) which implies we gonna study 24 subjects in a three-year course. Each subject out of 100 marks comprises 75 marks of written exam, 10 assignment, 10 internal, and 5 of attendance. BCom course is not so hectic one can study and pass easily with good grades. Faculty is best where all 70% teachers have already done Ph.D. and are great in every aspect regarding in help, advice and obviously in teaching. The teaching method is old but not too old because some subjects are new and are practically orientated. There is a decent student and gender ratio and everyone gonna love this.
Internships Opportunities
I have done 2 months internship with Outlook Publishing and a month internship with Houseitt accommodation. Internship opportunity was great and first one was paid but later one was not paid. Both were of marketing and sales which rigorously help me in building my profile. Paid one was based on sales, we were given 10% of every sale that account under our head.Houseitt helped me in learning a lot about digital marketing which will make a strong base for everyone.
Placement Experience
During the 5th semester, companies start coming up in placement cell till the final semester. Everyone with a CGPA above 6 is applicable to sit in placement drive regarding no backlogs. College placement cell is best with an average CTC of 4LPA. The highest salary offered was of 11lpa.I have been placed in EY through our college placement cell with a decent package of 3.5lpa which will always be a blessing for me. Anyone who wants to be placed in good corporate need to do lots of stuff in advance and extracurricular activities to excel in life too. Merely studying college subjects will not gonna help anyone and that's the harsh truth.
College Events
There are various societies which one can join to make a powerful resume. Finance, commerce, economics, drama, dance are some of best societies of college. It's a great way to interact with other and make a strong connection with them and we learn on how to interact and develop skills. Fest are mainly organized in March but some societies arrange fest in every month and apart from college fests, main benefit of being a DU student is you can join any other college fest which are affiliated by DU. Our college Cricket team is one of finest team of DU, other sports like football, table-tennis are also played and equally balanced with everyone to participate in.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Commerce courses have fees of 6000 per year which implies just 18000 for the whole course, which I think is a decent and no such a good college will gonna graduate us in such fees. There is a various scholarship available too but on a personal note, I haven't taken any.Our placement cell is great and I have successfully done an internship with various companies some were paid and for others, we need to do it for free. I have been placed in EY through a placement cell which is a great blessing for me as now my door is open for future possibilities and development.
Hostel Facilities
One of the bad aspect of college is that it does not provide hostel facility, instead you need to stay at PG or rent a flat. My average expenditure was of 15000 a month in both ways including meal, wifi, water and cleansing facilities.
