I took WBJEE in the year of 2008, my rank was 12251. I was very much interested in ECE back then. All i need was a decent college , ragging free campus and college within city suburbs.

Syllabus is as per W.B.U.T standard. Many courses available there such as Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology. Lab is good but least focus on research.

No internship is provided. Bhusan Steel and Power came and many campus pull organized. Maximum students from from this college had capacity to compete and many of them got placed in big companies like American Express, TCS, Cognizant, IBM, Tech Mahindra through off campus.

Few campus placement opportunities. Only a few got placed through campus placement. Many of them got placed in big companies like American Express, TCS, Cognizant, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Genpact through off campus. package was 2.8lac per annum to 3.8 lac per annum.

Freshers ,Cultural Fest, Viswakarma Puja, Tech Fest . Each year all these events are organized. Students from different colleges also participate in these events. Workshops in robotics, ethical hacking also organized every year. Students from our college also take part in prestigious tech fest in IIT KGP.

Though loan facility was available through HDFC Bank, I did not availed any. And fees structure was good and cheap enough i could afford paying it in cash, demand draft, cheque without taking any loan.

About gender ratio I would say Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering batches have few girl students. Variety of ethnicity you will find here Gujrati, Bihari, Bengali, Punjabi, Oriya etc. No involvement in politics. Many workshops have arranged.

Hostel is not good. Also in hostel seat capacity is less. Food in hostel come from college canteen , quality of food is also not good. There is no gym, no playground within hostel campus. There is restriction in late entry , so most of student staying in hostel find it difficult to live this life.

There are no active alumni network, though many are invited during college fest. You will find helpful senior students.

Chilled out experience. Teachers were very helpful. Assignments , Lab reports had to submit on due date, those were bit hectic . Before each semester we had to attend two test series, we call it unit test. Also viva and lab test were done frequently.

Faculty used to be good. I'm not sure how that is now. Faculty of ECE department was good. Most of the faculties are M.Tech in respective subjects they teach, and All of our HODs are PhD from prestigious institutes like IIT, NIT, BESU, Jadavpur University.
