Remarks

Hansraj College is one of the best colleges in India and the 3rd topmost college of Delhi University. Briefly, it has been ranked 13 in the NIRF ranking. The most proficient thing about Hansraj is diversity, it offers mostly all the course whether you are from arts, science or commerce. It has a very high cutoff, just to think about getting about admission your score must be above 95% in your senior secondary. It is like everyone dreams of taking admission to Delhi University, most preferably the north campus. But getting admission to 2 top commerce college of Delhi University was like dream come true for me. So talking about some good stuff about the college excluding which I have written above, 1) 2nd-largest campus in Delhi University. 2.) World-famous alumni like shah rukh khan. 3.) Best canteen in whole DU. 4.) Around 50 registered societies. There is nothing bad about the college, there is just one thing which I don't like and it is overcrowding. Except for that "HEAVEN.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

As my dream is to pursue MBA in my future so there no better course out there else than BCom honours for a person like me. This course is not so difficult to pursue and you get ample time for cat preparation. Other than that, it helps you to get the foundation of business administration. It teaches you the basics of business. So in Hansraj, there are currently 4 section and around 650 students in BCom honours. And talking about faculty, Hansraj College has one of the best faculty in whole Delhi university. But honestly, I am not satisfied with the faculty: student ratio, like in my section one teacher is teaching three subjects and in my views it is horrible. But other than that, teacher Student relationship is brilliant. And they teach you to like in deep insight as you are taught in school. So I have recently given my first sem exams and they were quite easy. You were able to pass it just by studying for 15 days before exams. My course started in November and my exams were in March.

Internships Opportunities

5

In terms of internship, Hansraj College is one of the best colleges because the internship cell of Hansraj College has its own internship portal from where can student of the college can apply for any internship they like just by uploading their cv. Moreover every year, the internship cell of Hansraj College organizes an internship fair in which around 2,600 students of Delhi University apply for an internship in different domain. Undermentioned are some of the internships with a stipend which this cell has provided so far: 1) the Indian express - 8k p/m. 2) Taxman- 10k/m. 3) Bajaj capital - 12k /m.

Placement Experience

4

Just after reaching their final year student become eligible for campus placement. talking about my course which is BCom honours highest offer was made by my amazon that is 18 LPA and around 70% of students of the course got placed. This is the data for the last year. Many renowned companies visited the campus for recruitment like - amazon, Tata consultancy, McKinsey, United airlines etc. The highest package was 31 LPA made by condensation. I have planned not to take the campus placement and give my Cat exam as I want to go to b school just after my graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

The best thing about Delhi University is that you get the best and you don't have to pay much for it. So while studying in Hansraj, you get the best college and your annual is fee is around 20k per year. Moreover, you get scholarships too from the college based on your academic record. It entirely depends on your financial conditions and your academic record that how many scholarships you will get. honestly, I didn't apply for the scholarship but there is my one friend who got Indira Gandhi National scholarship and he is getting 3 k a month. Other than college fees, you have to spend for living there if you are not from Delhi and this cost entirety depends on your lifestyle as like It can vary from 12k to no limit entirely depend on you. Talking about the internship, this is the best thing about Hansraj College. Hansraj placement cell has its own internship portal from where any student can choose and apply for the job. Currently, I'm doing an internship with a stipend of 5k per month.

Campus Life

4.5

I'm from the batch of 2023 and I am currently in my first year. So because of the pandemic, I got admission in November to Hansraj College. The fest was conducted online in December. But I have heard from my seniors that the fest of Hansrajike one of the best fests in the whole Delhi university. Other than this, there are a lot of societies in my college which organize an event that is intellectual, worthy regularly. The library of my college is huge and I bet you can found any book there. There are many students of Hansraj College who are currently become professional in sports as there are almost every sports available in this college ranging from table tennis to shooting. There are around 40 active societies that are entirely run by students and many international clubs.

Interview Experience

3.5

So for my course, there was not any entrance test or interview it was not totally merit-based. There is a course like BMS, BBA for which you have to give entrance exams which are known as dujat. This exam is not so tough you can crack it while preparing for it after completing your board exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
