Remarks
Government college of engineering, Aurangabad is an autonomous college.To get admitted to the Government College of Engineering, you either have to give JEE or MHCET exam. JEE Mains require above 90 percentile for admission in this college and MHCET requires above 95 percentile. Based on either of these two you will get admission. Our college has B.E in computer, mechanical, electrical, ENTC, Civil engineering. The best thing about my college is you can't get admitted through any donation. Almost all our teachers have attended international meetings for their respective subjects.I have studied for a year in this college and the best thing is all my teachers are very supportive. This college gives more impact on practical knowledge than bookish things.This college is among the top 10 ranked colleges in Maharashtra
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose BE electrical engineering because I am interested in this field. This college is one of the oldest and the best for doing electrical engineering in Maharashtra. All our faculties ensure that we go for more practical knowledge. All our faculties are very experienced and the ratio of faculties to students is very good because each branch almost as separate faculties even for same subjects. Our teachers have done phd in their respective subjects.All our faculties are very experienced and have experience of teaching for atleast 15 years. All the teachers have attended international meetings for their respective subjects. Exams are taking after 5 months and it is not that difficult to pass if you have attended all the lectures
Internships Opportunities
I don't have any knowledge about the internships because am a first-year student. But according to our seniors, we get a lot of opportunities in internships. Companies like Mahindra, tata etc gives us internships opportunities.
Placement Experience
Our electrical branch has an average placement of 60 % which is very good because almost 90 % of the electrical branch goes for government jobs. Other colleges have an average placement of about 40 % . Other branches like a computer have average placement of 80 % . The average salary offered is 5 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
My fee is 70000 per annum. I got admitted through the defense quota. I got a scholarship of 15 thousand and many of my friends got their respective scholarships. I am a first-year student so don't know about the jobs offered by our college
Campus Life
Life at the campus is very good. Our college has conducted a lot of induction programs.we have to register for the library and we can issue every book available. There is almost every book available required for engineering.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is very good because each room is well-spaced and facilitated. 3 students have to accommodate in each room. Each student gets one bed, one table, and one cupboard. Our rooms are cleaned every day. There are facilities of laundry and canteen also. The mess food quality is also good. The hostel fees is only 2000 per year and mess fees is 15000 per year
Interview Experience
There was not any GD for the admission because admission totally depends on the MHCET exam. I don't think there is any need for an interview session because these MHCET exams help the college to understand the student's capabilities.
