Remarks
The admission process is done by josaa. I prefer this college because it has a vast environment. Every branch available here. Extra activities are also good here. Senior is also good and they guide junior. Placement also nice and the faculty teacher teaches us very nice. Overall this is one of the best colleges in Asia.
Course Curriculum Overview
Basically, I interested in the automobile so I choose mechanical engineering. The ratio of teacher and student are 1:30. All faculties have a higher education degree from a foreign and respectful University. Their teaching style is nice. Exam held at every three months. Exam questions are easy to hard basically all type of questions present.
Internships Opportunities
For internship, you can visit IIT kgp official site. There are many companies for internship. Internship held on campus and off campus both. The project depends on your branch and skill. Like in mechanical engineering we go in the automobile industry or thermodynamics. In the project, we are learning about the concept. The internship gives us an experience that helps for placement. Outcomes are nice from the internship. And all information available on IIT kgp site.
Placement Experience
From the 7th semester, you are eligible for placement. For more info on placement, you can visit the official website of IIT kgp. There are around 300+ companies for placement. Around 90%+ students get placement. I wanna preparation for UPSC after engineering.
Fees and Financial Aid
100000 per semester + 33000( hostel fee ,mess fee, gym, examination, etc) So yearly cost around 266000. If you are st/sc or family income less than 1lac then get exempt in semester fee. If your family income between 1-5 lac then 2/3 semester fee exempt. Others scholarship also present on IIT kgp website. you can check.
Campus Life
Here we celebrate many festival and fest but most important are the Diwali function and spring fest. Due to covid, I'm not able to go to campus. But senior told us extra activities are best here. Asia's biggest Library also in IIT kgp. Each hall has its own library with a supercomputer. There are many societies which run by students like RCA, e cell, robotics etc.
