Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I want to be a civil servant and civil engineering is especially for such mindset people. The faculty to student ratio is not so good. Almost 180 students are taught by a single faculty in this online semester. The teaching method and dedication to the teaching of the professors is impressive. The faculty is well qualified. The exams are taken quite often. We are having almost 2 to 3 assignment a week plus test are also taken weekly and to pass them is quite difficult.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for placement in their 4th year. Many companies come here for placements like Google, Microsoft, Bajaj, Havells, dell, hp and many more. The percentage of the student getting the placement is not so satisfying but it is around 35%. After getting the degree I will study for civil services.
Fees and Financial Aid
As I am an st/sc student I have a tuition fee waiver. I have to pay only for the facilities. But in this online semester, we have to spend money on the internet. I have not got any scholarship but some of my friends hot the mcm scholarship which is very useful for them.
Campus Life
I have not visited the campus so don't know much. We have spring fest on a very big scale and kshitij (tech fest). Almost every book which we require are available in the library we have a huge library on the campus. Almost every sport is played and we have tournaments quite often. Many societies, cells, organisations are here. Many of them are student run bodies.
Hostel Facilities
Because of the Online semester, I don't know anything about this. But as far as I know, we have about 23 hostels 17 boys and 6 for girls. The hostels here are called halls. LBS hall, RP hall, Azad hall, like this we also have names for the hostels. The mess is also average.
