One of the best in AKTU, but needs more development in some areas.

Good Bits : It is government college with good reputation. Very Good rank in AKTU. It is ranked 2nd and comes after IET Lucknow. Campus area is large, for boys there are 8 hostels, 2 for each year students. Student coming are talented and posses good knowledge. As it is government college, it get huge funding from various sources. College festivals are one of the best in comparison to colleges in AKTU. Bad Bits Like many engineering colleges, education side is weak. Infrastructure is very old. Library contains very old books and no place in library to sit and read. Sultanpur is not much developed. No practical knowledge is given to students. My Opinion: Students should work on developing their coding skills, analytical skill and logical skills. They must enjoy their engineering life as it never comes back. But also each day try to learn something, start developing projects from first year and do not take tension of college studies, it can be managed easily.

Curriculum of IT is same as of CSE. Only 2-3 subjects differ in third year and final year. Subjects in curriculum are less interesting and subjects like AI, ML, Big data etc. should be there. There is only one programming language teacher teaches in 1st year that is C. Professors have good qualification but many time temporary faculty comes to teach and they have no knowledge and teaching skills. In one semester there are 2 sessional exam and one semester exam. They are easy to pass just follow with previous year papers.

There is no internship opportunity in college. You have to do internship on your own by finding internships based on your skills. Students have to do internship or training in the vacations after 3rd year.

Only final year students are eligible for campus placement. Companies visited : TCS, Global Logic. TCS package : 3.50 lakh. Global Logic package : 4.50 lakh. My plan was to crack GATE and so I did and get in to MTech in NITK Surathkal.

Cost of study in not much. In about Rs100,000 (one lakh) you can go for each year excluding mess fees. Mess fees at max can cost Rs3,000. If your family income is less than 2lakhs per year then you can get UP scholarship which is almost Rs60,000 per year. In college they give Rs3,000 per month scholarship on merit basis to top 6 students in each branch. But if someone is taking UP scholarship, then they are not eligible for this scholarship. No company visits for internship. Placement are not much, a very fee companies visit to college like TCS, Global Logic etc.

Sports fest : Tvaran (once in every 2 years) Cultural fest : Anubhuti (once in every 2 years in month of February) Technical fest : Effulgence (once in every 2 years) Books available in library are very old and of not much use for computer science as technology is changing everyday. Sports activities : Football, Basketball, Badminton, Volleyball. Clubs : Hobby club, Cultural club, Literary club.

Facilities in room : table, chair, bed, almirah (only in some hostels) for every student. Veg and Non-veg food both are provided. Non-veg is given in two times per week in night meal. Mess is off for Saturday evening and night. Food has not much taste and quality of raw material used is low. I did not rented any PG, but PGs are available outside of college area. Hostels infrastructure is old, so initially it needs efforts to live. But after some time hostel become the best place for students.
