The college is famous for providing A+ education in the field of home science plus my interest in the subject brought me to Lady Irwin College. The infrastructure is the best in whole Delhi University. The library is best in the college with thousands of books, research papers being available for the students anytime. The area in which college is located in the best part attracting the best crowd to the college Academics to extracurricular this college have the best of both worlds.
Course Curriculum Overview
College provides education in courses like food tech and home science at both undergraduate and post graduate levels. The college has the best faculty with ample knowledge and care towards their students and guides them in every possible way
Internships Opportunities
Do not know much about the internship. There are many companies or media which do many events and seminars in our college. Hence there is ample scope to land a good internship with a good stipend. There are many students who land up into many good internships.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are around 28k to 30k and may vary. The course providers opportunity to apply in various fields. College provides opportunities to students to deserve on the basis of academics and ECA for scholarships. Financial assistance also provided to needy students. There is a placement committee that guides the students.
Campus Life
Lady Irwin college has the best campus life so far. The annual cultural fest called quintessence is one of the best fest of the du circuit and attract the best crowd of all. The college has various societies such as literary, debating, music, e-cell, eco club , street play, stage play and much more. Along with the annual fest these societies also conduct their events every year.
Hostel Facilities
The college has its own hostel situated in the college campus. Hostel has separate buildings for undergrads and post grad students. The hostel has its own charm and life. The students can apply for hostel accomodation after the admission .
Interview Experience
The admission is on the basis of merit hence there is no interview or group discussion of any sort. The students who qualify for the prerequisite cutoff have to go to the college application for the course if their choice in the college, there will be some paperwork and your admission will be confirmed after paying the fees.
