Remarks
The best thing that I found about this college is that it is very near to the metro station, and on the G.T Road which makes it very simple to find and reach by any means of transport, there is no transport issue(Welcome Metro station is 5min walking distance). The thing that I did not like is that it is off-campus which means no other DU college is near of it and the NIRF-Rankings are also falling from many years. Due to Covid-19 the admissions began very late for session 2020, I got admission in November while I had filled the application form in the July-august. The biggest reason for me was I got the courses that I wanted as the cutoffs never goes too much high here. And second reason is that it is nearest college to my home so I could save a lot of travelling time as well. I did not study about this college from any blog or website but I saw its name in the cutoff lists then talked to some relatives who had studied there and they suggested to take admission and hence I got in it.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was interested in the computers from always and wanted to do B.tech in CS but due to some reasons I got not get the admission in it then I got to know about this course (B.Sc.-Physical Science with Computer science) and its syllabus really impressed me as I have 3 main subjects (Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science) and an additional subject too. As I was mostly interested in Computer Science and I got almost all the topics/subjects covered in this course that I wanted for my post graduation and then job as well. The best part about the college is its teachers/faculty. Faculty/student ratio is quiet good, there are enough teachers for every subject. Faculty are highly qualified as well because it is government college where having PhD is necessary and away from just degree the teachers have deep knowledge in their respective subjects. As our session started late, the exams were also late. But we were given the whole timetable in the beginning of the session and all this were same.
Placement Experience
There are no campus placements as much as I know, not in my course for sure , as this college offers only educational courses that are not professional. Students here mostly prepare for the government exams or for the higher studies, there is a big scope of politics for the students who are interested in them. My plan after this degree is to take admission in MCA from a good college and University maybe from any NIT(via NIMCET exam) if I got.
Fees and Financial Aid
As it is not a professional course and the University/Colleges all are Central the fees structure is quite affordable and such fee hikes as well. It feels like we paying according to the facilities and faculty we are provided, its value for money according to me. I have not got any scholarship or financial assistance as there are not much chances for that present.
Campus Life
I have not attended any fest yet due to Covid but as I heard from the seniors that there are not any big fests or events in the college, yes the college administration and various societies organizes many fests but they are not too big as compared to other DU colleges. The library is enough big and have a large number of books almost all books of our academics and other novels etc are kept there too (I have not figured them out deeply yet). Classrooms are pretty good and stay clean but smart class facility is not available in all the rooms. But the Computer Lab is very impressive. There is ground as well in the college and our hockey team is famous as well but there are not all the sports available as there is no cricket or football. There are a lot of societies and clubs in the college and they are very active as well, they practicing for events in college and outside of college too.
