Remarks

Good aspects : The environment in & around the college is very much good The whole staff is so supporting. Being a girls college, safety is prior without the checking of id card we students cant enter in the college & no outsider is also allowed. Bad aspects : Spent little time in the college that was during my 1st yr only and after that lockdown was put up in the country so I don't know much about the bad aspects. But few that I noted is that the medical room of the college is not opened regularly so incase someone needs medical help then have to face a lot. there is a lack of sitting arrangement in the canteen. And also sometimes students have to waste their time in search of a room for having class admission dates are as per DU guidlines that when cutoff comes & process includes submission of copies of marksheet of 10th & 12th class, caste certificate if any & filling the admform of the college Good science clg ,mainly in embassy area safest in whole Delhi & NCC too. Google DU siTe

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Since I'm having interest in Physics, chemistry, math's and want to study all these so I chose BSc Physical science. Faculty is good they teach us like school teachers means they don't think that these are college students and we have to give them lectures & then done infact they give equal attention to all . Faculty members are PhD. & teach in very practical, impressive & in an understanding way. Also they take our test time to time to check our knowledge regarding the topic & also give assigned to us. Term exams are conducted in time & if we go through the whole syllabus which is taught in the class then we can score good marks.

Internships Opportunities

3

Don't have much knowledge about it but as I heard there is some summer internship prog. Started by the college. Also heard that our college has adopted some village of UP and a team will go there for some research & to aware people there & specially women regarding their health issues.

Placement Experience

1

I saw some companies in the college for placement interviews ,students of 5th semester become eligible for campus placements but I'm not a part of placement cell of the college so don't have much knowledge about it.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since Maitreyi college is a govt college in DU so fees is much less as compared to any other college & is affordable by the poor one too. As I'm pursuing BSc prog. this course has the max. fees then any other in my college and it was Rs.11005 in 2nd year.& 7415Rs in 1st year. College gives scholarships to those students who topped in their course in that particular year & also give scholarship to one who is economically weak & also scored good marks in the particular year.

Campus Life

5

Rhapsody is our Annual fest which took place in Feb. We're having e-library too in our college and in our library we can easily find the books & journals even last year ques papers for practice too. Sometimes we have to face lack of facilities like some light issue, sitting arrangement in classrooms. Though I'm not a sportsperson so no idea abt sports in Maitreyi but extra curricular activities takes place time to time in the campus. Fests of various dept., seminars by various societies, companies & coaching institutes take place from Oct to March month. Some social media accounts are run by the clg union students for students to aware them about various activities & all that happens in the clg. I know about the insta acc. The official account of Maitreyi college, an acc.named as @humansofmaitreyi which is for clg students' to share their clg experience & to introduce themselves Apart from these each society of the clg have a social media acc in which they update abt everything selection & all

Interview Experience

3

Since in DU, adm.in UG courses are on the basis of their merits so no such interviews or group discussions took place for it. The interviews are for the society selection in that particular college. As I too had a interview for NCC in my college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum consists of relatable topics and interesting ones as well this is what quite influenced me to take this course. We have labs which help us learn how to prepare various organic compounds which are used in many day to day products . The course also has a 4th year research program. There should be more equipments in lab for the research. The frequency is good for exams being conducted and there level is also quite good

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for the placements provided by the college in their 3rd year, while they can pursue internship offered by the college in previous years. Average sized companies visited the campus with lots of students being placed for jobs. The highest package I am not aware of but lowest was of around 300000 pa. I plan to pursue masters after my graduation degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.
