Remarks
Firstly, I have given the UPSEE entrance exam which held at the end of April month and the result was announced at the end of May and according to the rank and the preference college selected by me, the college was alloted to me. I have selected the KIET group of institutions as there is a 100% placement record which gives me job security. The infrastructure of the college is also very good. There is a TBI (Technology Business Incubator) in the college that helps students who have some unique business ideas with financial support as well.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have selected Electronics and Communication Engineering because I really like this branch as electronic devices and programming fascinates me very much. The faculty of the ECE branch are highly qualified as they are gate qualified and some of the faculty receives national excellence recognition in their fields. There is an NI LabVIEW centre of excellence available in this department.
Internships Opportunities
The college itself also provide you summer internship for BTech student. You can also try for an internship outside the college. Every year, you have to present atleast one project in your department. Technical fests like Innotech are conducted in which you can present your project.
Placement Experience
The college placement record is good which is nearly 90% to 100%. But after the Corona pandemic, the situation of placement is slightly changed. Many core companies are not coming to the campus. But the college gives their 100% to place most of their students to various major recruiter IT companies. You can also get a job in elite companies as well from this college if you have great coding and communication skills. The highest package for this college till 2020 is around 27 LPA CTC of one student of 2016-20 batch. And the average package is around 3.8 LPA to 4.5 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
For B.Tech, the first year, the tuition fee is Rs 144299/- including a 10k security fee. For the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year, the tuition fee is Rs 119299/- for each. The UP state government provide scholarship for financially weaker section students.
Campus Life
The overall life at the campus is very amazing. There are so many clubs in which you can participate like quizzing, odeseyy, TEDx, MUN, KMC etc. There are also hobby clubs in which you can explore your hobbies more and more. There is also an auditorium on the campus in which various ceremony programmes, inductions etc are conducted. There is also various cultural fest held each year like Epoque, prastuti etc. Sports events like RANN are conducted in the college.
Hostel Facilities
The facility provided in the hostel is decent at the beginning of your hostel joining as everything looks good like mess food tastes good, sweeper clean your room once or twice in a week but as the time goes on after two-three months the quality of services is not looking up to the mark. The infrastructure of the hostel is very good. Water and electricity supply is available all the time. The medical facility is always there. You don't have any complaint in the hostel except in case the mess food taste so bad for which you eat the outside food.
