I chose computer science and engineering because of its great placements records. CS is probably the most storming streams in this decade and the packages given here are the one which one can only dream of. Professors have been very supportive in these times too and one can always say that faculty at thapar institute of technology is one of the best in the Indian society. Evaluations here are done regularly .Lab assessments accompanied by quizzes takes place ever month. The difficulty level has always been such that the student have to brain Strom throughout.

Internships at Google ,Amazon, Adobe etc offer great stipend. Fairly enthusiastic students can always apply for one. MLSC ,EDC are societies which will give you timely reminders for internships. Special drives for women candidates are always there.

Google Kickstart, GSoC, Amazon WOW etc you name any and you will surely get Thapar students there. Specifically designed placements cell is there which will help you get to know about amazing opportunities.

Like other private colleges, Thapar too has a fee structure which is difficult to afford for a fairly middle class family. But at Thapar , students get the chance to reduce the financial burden by opting for scholarships provided.

Many fests are conducted through out the year. Many societies like mudra, MLSC, Girlup etc take the opportunity to conduct monthly fests. The Navalanda Library is spectacular not only in the ambience but also in the book collection it has.

Most iconic hostel rooms are provided. Sudexo has been the mess in charge here for years and their priority has always been hygienic surroundings. Hostels are fairly affordable. The hostel staff is well trained for taking care of your child with strict on and out timings.
