Remarks

Our college infrastructure is very good . Each departments are competing themselves to show their strength and they conduct different fest to improve their talent. Bad thing about my college is our college canteen and snacks bar are not very good we have to improve a lot on that .

Entrance Preview

I took KEAM 2013 entrance exam and I scored 5k something rank in that exam. CET is the best engineering college in Kerala which provides freedom as well as lot of opportunities . Studying in GOVT college makes our education valuable than other self financing colleges .

Internships Opportunities

Our college TBI provides intership for students in all branchs . They also provides played internship for MBA and M.Tech students.

Placement Experience

120 companies came and recruit . Mass hiring companies like TCS , infosys , Accenture came and recruit more people in every year . Super dream company like AMAZON recruit 2 students in 2015 placement and they also give internship for 6 students this year . Dream companies like Royal Enfield , Bosch , commvolt , mysis, Tismo ect will also visiting our college this year .

Fee Structure And Facilities

CET is the number one government college in Kerala . We have to pay 8500 rupees for each year .

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship for financial year project , scholarship for higher rank students , scholarship for university toppers, CEETA scholarship, sponsors from alumni ect are offered for students in CET.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel and mess facilities are good . College hostel also have celebration like MH day and LH day . Hostel fee and mess fee are not expensive when compared to others.

External Expense: Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Alumni/Alumna

We created a network for senior students and our CEETA alumni helps us to improve our standards by providing feedbacks and they also helps us to bring more companies to our college for campus drive.

Exam Structure

We have two series exams in every semester and one university exam . (This is for 2013 scheme , university of kerala).

Faculty

They are very friendly and supportive. They not only teach the subjects but also help us to access the opportunity available .most of the faculties are well focused and they motivate us to go forward to achieve our dream.

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

Life at CET

This college is the best government college in Kerala. It has been consistently first in KIRF ranking. It has very cheap fees. The campus is very beautiful and spacious (about 200 acres). My best choice of colleges very IITs and NITs like most people. I couldn't crack JEE. I only applied to this college because I had very high ranking in KEAM exam and was confident of acceptance. KEAM exam is a lot easier to crack than JEE. It has basic higher secondary school syllabus. To get my course you would have to be around 700th rank. To get other courses in my college you can have rank as low as 20k....Read More
