Rock in college

I have applied for UPSEE 2018 in which I scored 312 marks out of 600. Then after getting the exam result ranking is decided. My rank is near around 9000. I took admission in KIET GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS. I chose this college because it is very near to my residence and many of my friends had also applied for that college. In the last week of July, our college admission process gets started in which you have to submit various document like id card, 10th 12th mark sheet etc and filled various form. This was completed in one day for me. And from 1 Aug our college classes began.

Since when I am in school, I have opted for programming subject, and I was very much interested in programming. So to continue in programming I have chosen the Information technology branch. And many of my school friends also took admission in it. In the first year of college, all student get into the department of applied science in which all students have common subjects. Faculty and lab instructor are highly skilled and have good technical knowledge in their fields. The method of teaching is very good and also they are very good at solving any queries from students. They put alot of efforts into clearing each and every doubt that student might face. Every month class test exam are conducted and at the end of the semester external exams get conducted.

To get an internship, you have to work hard because every organisation want a student who has very good technical knowledge. So for an internship, I would suggest you at first do some important online certification and make some robust projects that you can showcase in your resume and then only I would say that you can get a call from reputated companies for an internship. I would recommend you to check internship in the Internshala app which is a very good app for students in getting internships. College also helps you by providing emails of the various internship. Do least one internship in the 3rd year which is required in campus placement.

If I talk about college placements, I would say that if you are from a CS IT background you will be definitely get placed atleast in major recruiting companies. Student placement is the top priority of the crpc cell which help student in campus interview. I would roughly say that atleast 80 out of every 100 students get placed from the campus. Most of the student generally get placed in the range of 3- 4 lakh CTC. I don't remember the figure for the highest package of this college. But mostly cs it branch student get higher packages. I also want to get a place in one of the most reputated product based IT company in future.

Every year the program fee is Rs 120000. This is a decent fee which is the same as in other private colleges of AKTU. I don't know much about the scholarship. But only I can say that some type of scholarship is available for students as many of my classmates have applied for it.

In the first year, you get to know about various college clubs in the induction programme that is conducted in the starting week of your first semester. As I love programming, so I decided to get into coding clubs and luckily after giving my first interview for the KIET Koder club, I got selected for it. And many other clubs are also there like SAE, Dinobots, Music club etc. As per your interest, you can choose any club. And I would recommend you to join atleast one club to polish your skills which will help you later in campus placements. Apart from clubs, a central library is there which is open from 10 am to 4 pm. Also, many of the cultural fests took place in the first year like frescos, prastuti, Epoque EDM etc. As I am not interested in sports, so I dont know much about a sports event. One more club which I forget to tell you about is the Uddeshya club which helps the slum children by teaching them and by giving them food clothes etc. I feel happy to see that club doing its job.
