Entrance Preview
There were no entrance examinations for this course. You need to have a minimum of 50% in 12th. Because of the good infrastructure, I did opt for this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is strictly based on the subjects related to the aircraft. There is nothing outside of that. Maths is what you would forget as it is not there at all.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, there is a 6 Months of compulsory training period at the of those 2 & 1/2 years. There is no stipend paid to anyone in their training period.
Placement Experience
The college does help for the placement, but it's just a help in showing where the vacancy is. You need to have your own references to get a job. Those 6 months are very important to make some friends inside the field.
College Events
There are quite some events celebrated in this college but after so many years I cannot remember any.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Very expensive. For me it was Rs 1,10,000 per annum at my time. Should be increased now.
Campus Life
Campus life is good. They have good food with the crowd being civilized. There are less girls joining this course as it is more of a male dominated field. There are competitions for designing aircrafts and things. They are pretty good. There were sports events conducted once a year which went intercollege. It included athletic sports, football, cricket, etc.
Exam Structure
Exams are held every 6 months. That is, it has a semester system. There are external exams conducted by DGCA which makes your chances of getting a job a little higher. Nothing more. That license you get after clearing the papers do not get you a job.
Faculty
The faculty of my time were quite qualified to be teaching to us. But as the time passed by, few of the good teachers left us and the new teachers coming I felt were not fit for teaching. Now the faculty has completely changed so I can't comment on it.
