Remarks

The process for admission is through the CAP round. A student is required to score in the State level MHT-CET exam. The procedure for application is dynamic and online. A minimum of 92 percentile is required to get admitted to the institute for the general category.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I opted for the Mechanical Engineering course. The teachers are PhD graduates having 10+ years of teaching experience. Most of the staff have research papers published articles and possess patents in their respective domain. Due to autonomy, the course curriculum is really improved and student-friendly based on the credits system.

Internships Opportunities

3

Aavishkar is a technical event held every year in February, in which many neighbouring colleges and institutes participate. Other than that, non-technical events like Tedx, etc., are conducted by students and professors. Clubs like E-cell, Dais club, SAE, Roboclub, etc., conduct various events throughout the year. Many of the technical things like workshops, industrial visits and guest lectures are implemented in recent years.

Placement Experience

4

Core branches like civil, mechanical, and electrical have lesser placements compared to EnTC and IT over here. But reputed companies like Fiat, John Deere, KBL, etc., visit yearly to train and hire students. A few students got placed in BPCL the previous year. Many students try for civil services exams, one of which got 1st in ESE conducted by UPSC. Many IT companies like Cognizant, TCS, etc., help students get internships and offer placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee Structure is different for different categories. OPEN category Students have to pay Rs. 85000 yearly. Scholarships such as EBC and other state scholarships are available. Cummins India and Siemens provide scholarships for meritorious students.

Campus Life

3.5

Much of the infrastructure is under development. A well-developed central library is present with a study hall and magazines or research articles section. These are well maintained by library staff. A digital library containing 60 PCs with online motel lectures, PDF books is present atop the central library. Internal roads, sewage management, playground and power supply are well maintained. Classrooms are digitalized with the aid of projectors, smartboards etc. Wi-Fi connectivity is well and good for every student with a wide range around campus. The canteen is fine. Hygienic food is available at a minimal cost.
