Remarks

I had to appear for MCQ based test conducted by ggsipu which was in march. It contained questions of maths, mental ability, English and questions of 11th and 12th commerce. I am a science student and wasn't able to solve commerce questions still got a decent rank of 406 because of Maths, English and mental ability. After the rank list comes you are supposed to opt for your college acc. To your wish and then your college is decided acc. To that year cutoff marks and your rank. Then the college calls you for the final admission procedure for the document verification and after all the formalities are done you are part of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course is good. It is as per the latest syllabus in my opinion. I chose this course because B.Com covers a very wide spectrum and afterwards I will have many options for my masters and phd. one can also prepare for the CA exam meanwhile just like some of my classmates including me. In a class of 60, one teacher is allotted and in my opinion, if you wanna study in a real classroom is a good place for you. The teacher responds in a good way and you won't be facing any difficulty. Teachers are either phd or have done their masters in the subject they are teaching and it's actually enough for teaching bachelors student and they are actually good at teaching and interactive too. We have 3 minors which caries 25% marks and the rest percentage is covered by a major. This is for every semester.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internships fests are organised by clubs in our college where you can apply and get your internship most probably. Initially go for this internship for learning purpose. Later you can also earn with these. As I told you to stick to the company you choose to intern in, they will pay you good in some time. Just have patience.

Placement Experience

1.5

It's obvious that only 3rd yr student can sit for the placement and I think It's useless because here, toppers get the package of 2 to 2.5 lacs which is just terrible IMO. I would suggest you not depend on it, rather prepare for CA. It's a much much better plan. Well, if you arent interested in CA, go for internships right from the first year and stick to the company you choose. You will earn good gradually within a year.

Fees and Financial Aid

For a year, about 1 lakh is the fees and you can also find that on the official page of the college as it differs from year to year. In my opinion, this price is reasonable for top commerce college that too in Delhi. There are scholarships n financial assistance facility for students with the weak financial condition but for that, you have to maintain ur performance in the exams of college and university. Getting marks in internals is really easy. you have to work for externa thats all. The placement from college not satisfactory at all. Toppers get the job of 2 lacs per annum.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is fun actually but the campus has only a boys hostel which is the only sad part here. Rest here you will find many clubs and there are selection procedures for each one of them, not difficult tho so no need worry much. Each club has its own annual fest and there's no college fest as such here. By giving 5k you can have all the semesters book for free and this feed is refundable too. They do cut some amount bit still it's cheap. Well, IMO dont find the library very interesting, it's generally full of academics book. Mostly accounting books, lol. Some journals and newspaper are there. The interesting part is there's one more library which has philosophical books and many other interesting books. Everyone should visit it once.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
