Remarks

I applied for Brainware University via the main office in salt lake. Previously I had applied for Neotia University and Adamas University. But I finally settled for brainwash for their lenient fees and good placement record. The college has a minimum cut-off of 60%. With more than 60 marks scored in PCB respectively. The admission process was quite simple we only had to go for one day and first we submitted all necessary documents and later deposited the admission fees. And that's it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

CSE is one of the most in-demand courses to date and it serves at the forefront for other major competitive exams in the future. The faculty is well organized, consisting of some really great teachers. Most faculty members have a doctorate in their respective fields and boast great knowledge about their domain. Exams were always according to provided schedule. Each semester had unit tests 1&2, presentation, and semester-end exams. The question paper was on the tough side throughout the tenure.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The college has tie-ups with organizations like web guru and rebel they provide internships to various students. This year alone Adobe pickup up 5 students from CSE for a paid internship of 1 lakh per month. Live projects happen during the pre-final semester.

Placement Experience

4

During the pre-final sem students become eligible for placement drives. Companies like Wipro, Capgemini, Byjus, etc visit the campus annually. And pick out suitable candidates for their workforce. Nearly 80% of students get placed. After graduation, I plan on doing an MBA I am already preparing for CAT.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees usually don't hike. But hostel fees may raise every couple of years. It's not a major hike, around 500-1000. Students belonging to reserved classes can apply for scholarships. Students who have a great academic record in the senior secondary can also get a scholarship.

Campus Life

4.5

The annual fest of Brainware University happens every year around Holi. The fest is like a grand celebration. We absolutely love it. The college has various clubs like the communication club, tech club, etc. There is various student common room in every building. Classrooms are ok, I guess benches, whiteboard, fan, light, windows (it's all generic). The campus has a huge field located near the central arch of the college. And there is also a gym and a music room at students' disposal. But the best part. The workshops, it has more machinery than a batch can ever need.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel rooms are pretty bare bones. You get a bed and a study table. That's it. There is constant power and water supply in the hostel. Sanitation is taken very seriously. The quality of hostel food according to me is worth the money. Both veg and nonveg option are available daily. Plus there is a great canteen and cafeteria that runs daily. The hostel registration process is simple. You talk to the management staff and fill out a few forms. If there is a vacancy available. You will get a room indefinitely. There are 4 sharing, 2 sharing and single rooms available. Price of hostel Increases as you move towards lesser sharing rooms. Besides that, the hostel is like a high wave. The ones who know how to ride the waves have the best time of their life here and the ones who can't indefinitely leave the hostel after a year or two. There are plenty of other housings facilities located around the college.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
