Remarks

The Admission process is very simple as because you just have to fill the application via online and the merit list will be available online and you can also confirm your seat by paying the admission fees online and then submitting the required documents by going to college. I took Admission here as i wanted to Prepare for CA exam and I knew there is no Compulsary attendance here and i can fully concentrate on my CA exam.

I rarely Went to College as i dedicated most of my time to prepare for CA but every time i went there were not more than 40 students in a class of 90. Most of the students were either preparing for a professional exam like me or were working for a part-time job. The teachers are highly qualified and they teach in such a way that every student understands. They mostly use Hindi as a medium of Communication followed by English and Bengali. The exams were not too tough to pass, but scoring above 90% was challenging.

Class Size: 94Course Fees: INR 3500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are around 500-700 per Semester and exam fees of Rs.670 at the time of the exam was to be paid additionally. The College also provided financial assistance to the needy ones, they were given around Rs.600 for each semester and the state government provided around Rs.10000 per Year to the students.

Campus Life

the College fests are held on a very big platform. Some Local Stars are invited as Chief Guest and one does not even have a place to stand during the Fresher's party. As the Id Checking at the time of entry is done by our Friends, so students from other colleges also come . The Sports like Cricket, Race, Marathon,etc are also held on Sports Day.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
