Remarks

I applied for North City College, Maulana Azad College, AJC College, and Herambra Chandra College. I didn't attend the colleges because it was far from home and Herambra Chandra College was nearest to my house. I have not availed myself of any quota during admission. Admission Criteria was passed with 10+2 with 75% in aggregate from a recognized board and no such age limit for ICA and 4 years from passing class 12 in case of college. There was no counseling for Herambra Chandra College. I had to take admission by depositing the money into the bank and then the documents were verified and I was admitted to the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have chosen this course because it was my passion to pursue commerce. Faculty: Student ratio was on an average basis. Faculty are highly educated in Masters, Bachelors and PhD respectively with the average teaching method. Exams were on yearly basis (1+1+1) and was average to pass.

Class Size: 200Course Fees: INR 17000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

There was no, such fee hike, and the cost to study was affordable and easy to avail. There was no such campusing during our time, I received no scholarship and financial assistance all was at my own risk.

Campus Life

The name of the annual fest was Hemsluence and the name of the tech fest was Aura in the month of December and October respectively. The books and journals available in the library were sufficient for all the students to go through. There were desks, tables, fans, and lights available in the classroom. Inter-college football, cooking, debate, band, solo singing, fashion show, and dancing were being carried out on the campus. Herambra Chandra social group and union group are run by the students for the welfare of society.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
