I am student of HIT , being HITian i know my college better than anyone.

HALDIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY is one of the oldest and well-known colleges in west Bengal. The fees of HIT are comparatively very less than other private colleges. I got admission to the HALDIA institute of technology on the basis of the WBJEE rank. In the first round of counseling, i opted for another college but there was no hostel is available, so i decided to go ahead in the third round of counseling and at last, I got a chance to take admission at HIT on the Electrical engineering department. When i firstly visited college i felt very amazed and excited after viewing the infrastructure of college . College is very huge and enhanced with great infrastructure .

Electrical, Mechanical, biotechnology and chemical are strong branches of HIT. And their administrative are also very supportive towards the student And also for placement many companies come with really some good packages. In academics, scoring here in exams is not very tough. With some proper study and some focus, anyone can pursue a good mark. All faculties and staff are very supportive. They also help students and give proper guidance on courier-related queries. Almost all facilities had done their M TECH from reputed IITs and NIT's and some of them are from Jadavpur University. The hospitality and environment of the college are very good.

Campus selection is good in our college and every year also increases in the number of the company reach in the college. Average Packages offered by companies are 5 to 6 lac per annum. Students after 5 th semester,i e., In third year eligible to sit in campus selection. Each department's students got good placement each year. But chemical, Biotechnology/food technology, Electrical / Mechanical, and CSE department students got more placements capacitively to other departments.

As I already said earlier fees of HIT are comparatively less than other private colleges. The fee structure of HIT is kept moderate so that all can afford to study there. For each semester around 48 k to 50 k is fees for my department (electrical engineering) and for the hostel they charge 12k extra for each semester. Anyone can pay fees online or offline easily. For offline fees payment simply we have to visit college office. And for online payment College has its own online portal Where we can pay in any mode ( like NEFT, cash, DEBIT card, UPI , etc). For scholarship:- if any student is not financially strong, our college helping them by accepting government education loans. WBJEE candidate can also apply for TFW quota, according to this will give you discount on tuition fees by relaxing a huge amount. or anyone who is good in their study but failed to get that scholarship, for they all who scored ygpa above 9.6 in a year our college also provides scholarship to them.

The campus is big and it's really fun to explore. HIT Haldia has one of the best and biggest campus engineering Colleges that we get from WBJEE. HIT provides world-class facilities to its students. The infrastructure of the college is really amazing and quite impressive. The institute Comprises partially on-campus accomodation, separate hostels for boys and girls, a large number of lectures centers and 3 to 5 huge seminar halls, Gym, restaurants, stationery store, Aryabhatta Central Library, Canteen, 24*7 hospital / medical facilities for free, wifi and also have digital library. Every year many tech fests, fun events also Take place. I enjoyed every one of them. Inside the College, many well-known tech society branches exist (like- IEEE SB HIT, MNAB RACING, VIDHYUT, etc ) where students can grow up their knowledge by becoming members and interacting with their seniors and faculties.

The hostel facility is quite satisfying but not so excellent. In Hit there are many types of hostel depends upon which hostel we get. In our college, 2 types of rooms are available, Hostel rooms for 2 students and 4 students. In every room books shelves, a chair, a desk table, and a bed with premium quality mattresses will be provided to each student. In each floor of the hostel has three big bathrooms. Hostel meal quality is good and average in taste. In every floor three water purifier is available and in the dining hall, a cold water purifier is provided.
