Remarks

I had applied for 2 colleges only, namely Mata Sundri College. The reason I didn't attend this college is the distance from my place. I haven't availed of any quota for admission. I am from the General category. Admissions criteria would basically depend upon the cut-off list released by Delhi University for different colleges. There was no age limit. But students need to clear the cut-off range and girls are provided 1% relaxation in the admission criteria. The admission process was smooth and clear. Firstly, we need to apply online from the portal on which we have applied for our Delhi University basic registration with our details, id, and password was created earlier when we apply for the registration. Then print that application form. Within the cut-off time, we have to go to college and go with the further process of filling different forms(include admission form, anti-ragging form, or if you want to apply for NCC /NSS), then we have to pay the fee online and that's how admission process goes.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Personally, I chose this course because I like studying Mathematics and also want to go with this subject further, and I learned a lot. We have different departments for different subjects and streams with a wide range of faculties with different knowledge and degrees. In my department which is Mathematics, we have a 2:9 teacher and student ratio. Because this is our first session of Mathematics Hons. in the college. We have different teachers with different qualifications ranging from Ph.D., MPhil to Assistant teachers, all are so good and we have so much fun while studying. All teachers are cooperative. The teaching method is also great, they are always there for us to help us regarding anything, regarding subjects, college, societies, etc. We have a semester-wise examination method. We give exams in Nov-Dec and then May-June. It's not so difficult to pass the exam, a student should go through the previous year's question papers thoroughly, then he/she can pass the exam easily.

Internships Opportunities

5

Different companies come for providing the internship, we have a placement cell to coordinate with the companies. I haven't taken any internships from college, so I don't know the names. You can get different roles to apply for(like Content Writing, Designing, marketing,) also students get a good stipend and quality work to do. Also, college societies provide different roles to apply for like photography for the college, department head, department's social media handling, fest management, organization events, etc. In different internships you have to work accordingly, in content writing, students will be writing blogs for their websites, captions for social media handles, etc.

Placement Experience

4

From the 5th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. No information regarding companies because this will be the first time for our department. I will be pursuing MBA after my graduation from Delhi only, it can be from FMS, DTU, DU, IIT, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

One student will find a very different fee structure for one particular course for different colleges within Delhi University, but this is worth paying because we have minimal to pay. Because it is a government-funded University. There is no such fee hike policy, anyone can afford this much, as every course fee comes under 30k, this is the maximum fee for any course. College provides different scholarships for PWD, SC, ST, OBC, and students having one parent or with low-income families. Coming to job opportunities, a student can earn by applying for internships, we have such an active placement cell, anyone can find an internship easily. For a job, I can say a student can get a job ranging from 2-5 lakh annual package. As this is our first session, nothing much can be said for the job.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is good and soothing. Our college organizes an annual fest, it can be any month to organize the fest. Availability of books and journals are quite good, we have several libraries for different streams (like English and Hindi subject libraries are different). Also, sometimes teachers provide their books to students for study. There is no issue in classrooms as well, in one classroom, 50-80 students can sit at a time. The classroom consists of good-quality benches, working fans, 2 boards( 1 whiteboard and chalkboard) to teach students, open windows, and a huge space to walk within a classroom. College also consists of different sports, extracurricular activities, we have gigantic grounds to play different sports, the college held several competitions. Regarding social groups etc., we have different societies to participate in or become a member as per their choices. Anyone can see, in the college seminar room, there is always a seminar going on. We have different social media pages to follow.

Placement Experience:

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant as it contains useful concepts which a management student should know. And the concepts are very comprehensive and easy to understand. Examples are given in the curriculum which prepares us for the real world. Some teachers use the presentation based teaching which is good and should be encouraged. The exams are not that difficult for one who is atleast decent in studies.

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.
