ECE undergrad real view

I have applied for Netaji Subhash Engineering College in the ECE branch. It is one of the best college of west bengal and comes under MAKAUT university. It is a part of techno India university. I took admission in this college through the WBJEE exam and did not avail any quota as I am a general category student. Students must be 12th pass out with 60 percent marks in state board or 75 percent marks in CBSE board. Also, we have to be under 20 thousand rank in WBJEE. In order to take admission, we have to give an entrance exam either WBJEE or JEE MAINS. The eligibility criteria depend upon the cutoff mark. I have to do online counseling and select college and my preferred stream. A merit list is issued and a counseling center is given to me. On counseling day I have to bring all required documents such as the 10th, 12th mark sheet, WB JEE admit card and rank card, personal identity card such as Aadhar. All the documents get verified on the given counseling center.

Electronics and communication are some of the most demanded courses in the present world. About 90 percent of students got placed in ECE in NSEC every year. The college has well-equiped labs that most important things in Engineering. The college has some of the best faculty members with a great experience of teaching. ECE has a total of 110 seats for students. Classes are divided per 50-60 students in one classroom. All teachers are MTech graduates and some of them have done Ph.D. Teachers have a great experience of teaching and also they use various tools and techniques to teach such as smart projector animation, doing practical. Teachers have immense knowledge in theory as well as practical. In the time span of four years, we have an 8-semester exam. Two-semester exams per year mean 6 months per semester. Exams are a little bit hard to pass but teachers are so experienced they already taught each topic in class. If we pay attention in class it's somewhat easy to pass in the exam.

There is a certain of IT companies offer internship in our college such as web skitter, TCS and others like fortis. Projects on various topics like AI , machine learning were discussed. I am not at all satisfied with college internship opportunities. I have done one intrenship but not from college but from outside of my own.

After passing the 6th semester ie from 7-semester student become eligible for placement. The number of placement is quite good and satisfying in our college where approx 90 percent (103 students out of 110) got placed in the ECE department. Many companies like TCS, CTS, ACCENTURE, BYJU'S, ZS many MNC like Microsoft, Amazon, LTI also hire students from our college. Total 400-500 jobs are offered each year. The highest job offered is about 12lakh per annum to 10 lakh per annum. Amazon offers the highest package of 12lakh. companies like BYJU'S, TCS code vita also offer 8 lakh plus package. The average package is about 4lakh. Departments like CSE, IT, ECE, BME have 85-90 percent placement. Another dept like EE, ME, AEIE, CE has approx 50 percent placement ratio. My plan is to get an on-campus job and join that job and earn.

The total fee of the four-year course program is approx 4 lakh including the admission fee and another charge. Fee is divided into per semsester. As per MAKAUT university rule, each semester 1200rs is to be paid for the examination fee. and 2600rs for student development fee and registration charge. College doesn't have its own hostel so hostel charge is excluding. As it is a private institute it does not have any fee hike policy but there is a certain government scheme and other schemes to might help us in reduce fee amount. There is also some certain scholarship program where we have to give some exam and get scholarship. College is NAAC affiliated and AICTE approved we can also go for an education loan. The college has a good number of placements. About 80-90 percent of students got jobs. MNC like Microsoft, Amazon, LTI, Infosys, and many more hire students from NSEC. TCS, CTS is the mass required from NSEC. Many more companies total of 50 plus are hiring students from NSEC.

Avenier is the annual tech fest of our college which is organized by the phoenix club of NSEC. Another cultural fest is the fresher's party PRELUDE organized by students from all departments. Each department of Btech has its own departmental fest such as ZENER organized by the ECE department, SRISTI organized by BME. One more event ZEST which is a sports event in which various indoor and outdoor sports activities are organized such as Volleyball, chess, football, etc. The college has its own volleyball, football, basketball team. The library is full of books where we got our syllabus book. College Library also provides us many others books such as novels. It has a digital library where students can study in college time. The college has its own club PHOENIX. This club organizes various technical events. The college has its own Facebook handle and websites. nsec.ac.in is the official website of NSEC. Each department has its own Facebook handle run by students.
