Remarks

Admission was through CAT score, followed by Group Discussions(GD) and Personal Interview (PI). The total aggregate of CAT score, GD, and PI was considered and the merit list was made for the final admission. In the year 2020, 85+ percentile was the cutoff for final admission in the general category, and for OBC it was 80 percentile. I was offered admission to some of the Baby IIMs also. But I chose BHU because of the ROI ( Return on Investment) it gives. IM-BHU has very less fees as compared to other colleges and also offers very good placements. That's why it has a tough competition. BHU is also the Rank 3 University all over India. It gives good exposure.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

MBA and MBA in International Business (IB), two courses are offered by IM-BHU through CAT score. The cutoff for MBA is higher than MBA-IB. The faculties in both the courses are very good and professional. The faculties are very experienced with a minimum of 10 years of experience. There are 60 students in each course, with 60:40 boys girls ratio. There are two semesters in a year and a total of 4 semesters in the complete MBA course.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Some companies visiting for internships are UCO Bank, RBI, Utkarsh Small Finance Bank, Phoenix, Pramerica Life insurance, IDDBI federal Life insurance, Outlook Magazine, etc. BHU offers maximum unpaid internship opportunities only. Internship project topis are majorly research-based for banks and pure sales for insurance or any product selling companies. And the companies visiting for placements are Infosys, Wipro, IBM, ICICI Bank, Jana Small Finance Bank, Mother Dairy, etc. IBM gives the highest package among them.

Placement Experience

4

Placement for IM- BHU for MBA students is good. It has one of the best ROI (Return on Investment) for MBA students. Good companies visit BHU. The average placement is approximately 8.4 lacs and the highest package offered was 16 lacs last year. Almost 93% of the batch gets placed every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of the complete MBA course is approx 1 lacs only. It is one of the lowest fees for college one can get. Semester 1 - Rs 47682 , Semester 2 - Rs 2125, Semester 3 - Rs 46982, Semester 4 - Rs 2125. The average placement offered by the college is 8.4lacs and approximately 92% of the batch are placed every year. The highest placement offered last year was 16 lacs. BHU has the best ROI (Return on Investment) for MBA. You can get the UP Scholarship offered by UP Government if you are studying in BHU and the amount more than your fees will come to you in your account as the scholarship.

Campus Life

5

The campus is very good. BHU has Asia s largest campus. There is greenery everywhere. There is the famous Vishwanath Temple (VT-BHU) inside the campus. There is CCD and many other restaurants and street food courts inside. You will enjoy the campus. There is one central library and one cyber library, which are common for all the students in BHU. Also, there is a separate library for each department and institute in their own buildings. There are many sports fields, gardens, and parks inside. A Grand Annual fest is organized every year. Also, different types of fests are organized for each department and institutes from time to time. You will get everything on the campus. It is one of the best campuses of India, even if you compare in Asia.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel is good. Hostel fees are very less, approximately ranging from Rs 2000 to Rs 7000 per semester only for different departments, excluding mess. For food, you have to pay Rs 40-50 per plate whenever you want to eat during mess hours. You can eat in any of the mess of the university by paying 1 plate charge. BHU is the largest residential university in Asia. But still, some students may not get hostels because of the large crowd of students. Hostels are provided based on the ranks or merit list at the time of admission.

Interview Experience

4

CAT score followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) was considered for the admission process. The aggregate score was calculated based on these. Group Discussions were a normal GD on the general and current topics. And PI was based on your previous academics, work experience, or your CV.
