My mechanical Engineering

I am a Mechanical engineering student at KIET group of institutions college. In the year 2018, I appear for jee exam but was not able to crack it. But my father gave me advice to also took the aktu entrance exam. So I took the exam and got 267 number and got this college which is in Ghaziabad district. My college journey started in July 2018 first year. There is also a provision of direct student admission but I dont know the whole procedure. You can check them by visiting the college site.

The faculty of mechanical engineering is very supportive. As I am preparing for the gate exam so I only focus mainly on the core subjects. The faculty provide us best gate content and also gives the right direction on how to prepare well for the exam. But we all know that teachers can only guide us we have to prepare for the exam by ownself so focus on self-study. Most of the faculty are gate qualified and have 2 to 3 years of working experience in various core industries. There is a class test exam that is conducted monthly. And before the end semester exam, there is also a pre-university exam held. In my year, there are 4 sections each of have student strength of 65.

It is very important to do internships and make projects in your second and third year if you are sitting for company placements. So make atleast three-four projects and do at least one internship. The college will provide you an internship but that is not very helpful because there you nothing to learn new. To apply for an internship outside the college. And prepare your resume well before the placement interview.Also, Core students can get interview calls from various core companies through your gate score.

Campus students are eligible for college placements in the final year and a minimum of 60 percent is required and with no active backlogs in their semester exams. Most major recruiting companies come to the college for it student. But core students can also apply for them. Either you can go for college placements or if you are from the core you can go for higher studies. The placement scenario of this college is decent. The average package is around 3 to 4 lac per year. I have mentioned earlier that I am preparing for the gate exam because I want to pursue higher studies at a prestigious college. You can prepare according to your interest.

The fee structure for academics is 120000 per year. If you opt for a college hostel then you have to pay an extra 1 lac rupee. Since I am from Modinagar so, I have not applied for a hostel.It is very costly to do engineering in private colleges so try to crack exams for government colleges. The financial scholarship is provided to those students which are from a weak financial background. One important thing is that if any of your parents is a government employee then you are not able to get any scholarships.

In the first year , frescos event was conducted for welcoming first year students.And there are some other events like epoque,praastuti etc are also conducted.But the pandemic has stopped all the events to be conducted. You can issue the book as you want from college library.As i am preparing for gate exam so i prefer the gate books to the academic books.But note that the book is issued to you only for 15 days after that you can re-issue the book. I have participated in various departmental sports events like volleyball cricket football etc.One thing which is not good about college is that the sports ground are not very big.The campus size is around 18 acres.But you can enjoy well in the college. There are also so many students club for students.As i am from mechanical engineering i joined SAE club which is oriented for designing of vehicles.But after second year i left the club as i was not able to give my full time to my gate study.So join the club accordingly.
