Remarks

Few days back i went to college after approx 3 years for getting some NOC and they were very helpful. Though they took more than 4 hours to give me one NOC but i think it was not there fault as they have to find records from 2012 files so that is a time consuming process. So i think the entire college management is very helpful and completely dedicated for the help of the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

As B.com normally focus on the entire commerce subjects so a student get to learn the entire commerce subjects through the span of 3 years which include Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Taxation, Economics,Hindi, English etc. Though our course curriculum does n't include any research work but they are some assignments which are required to be done and submitted.

Internships Opportunities

B.com doesn't require any internship in the entire course. But an individual is free to do internship during summer or winter breaks or year break through his or her own links. As no internship is included in B.com course so no experience certificate for the same is required.

Placement Experience

5

Placements in DCAC are one of the best thing any graduate can dream. It has 100% placements records. Yes exactly 100% not on papers but actually 100%. All of the best companies from their sectors comes to campus placements. Some of them are Bharti Airtel, KPMG, Protivity, EY, IBM and many more. Average Package ranges from 2.5 Lakhs to 4 Lakhs pa with some companies providing additional benefits of fully sponsored post graduation during the job.

College Events

4

DCAC celebrate every event starting from Freshers Party to the Farewell Party, from Cultural programs to annual fests, from Cricket to Table Tennis everything is celebrated in DCAC. Annual Fests are must watch of DCAC as every year some or the another big name of either singing industry or dance industry performs at college ground in annual fest. Annual fest also caters mouth watering dishes from the famous brands to the fun games. Fashion Walk competition is the best thing to watch at annual fest stage with participants from different college competing each other.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I think the fee structure of DCAC is very feasible. At our time approximate annual fees was INR 6000 excluding transportation, food, stay. So i think on average for the entire graduation period the annual fees is INR 20,000 which is quite affordable. So i dont think DCAC fees is expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

No i have not availed any scholarship or loan but our college do provide some of the scholarships details of which can be taken from the college administration

Campus Life

3.5

DCAC have one of the best campus life in the entire DU. You actually get to know the new fashion or new style in the market from the students of DCAC college. They are so fashionable. At our time gender ratio was approximately 8 girls for every 10 boys. College also hosts several debate competitions. Our college have several societies starting from Dance Society to Drama Society, Music Society etc.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There is no hostel facilities or mess food at DCAC. Though there is a canteen where you can have many of the famous mouth watering dishes of the country ranging from South Indian Food to the North Indian Food. Every food severed in DCAC canteen is quite cheap and completely hygenic.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni Network is good if you are added in that network as you get regular updated of the events or alumni meeting etc. The only thing which i miss in DCAC is that DCAC never hosts convocation ceremony which i think is a big miss a graduate can afford. For student graduation Convocation is the very first convocation ceremony of there life so it make them so much excited for that but i dont know why it is never celebrated in DCAC which i consider a big miss

Exam Structure

At our time exam were on yearly basis with some internal exams during the year which attracts some marks in the final marksheet. So being main exam only once a year it was kind of chilled out thing. Hectic was not a word in our dictionary at that time because it was lot of fun during your college that you actually enjoy attending classes. So exams were not an issue at that time but i think now as the exams pattern has been changed from once a year to twice a year as semester pattern has been implemented so i think this might have put some pressure on students for continuous studies because some internal exams also take place so student are giving the exams in the entire year

Admission

It is very simple to get admission into DCAC or any DU college. When the admission dates are announced you have to fill a single form for the entire DU colleges except St. Stephens which conduct it's own entrance exam. The form can be purchased from any DU colleges and can be submitted at the same place from where it was purchased. Once the cutoff are announced on DU site or even newspapers you just have to look the college name in which your 12th % is falling and go to that college with xerox of the admission form submitted along with academics records and documents. I think in the entire DU administration is very good and they have a very smooth admission process.

Faculty

5

DCAC college has one of the best commerce faculties. Starting from accounts to economics, english every subject faculty is very experienced and help a lot to students in every aspect of academics and other assignments. There is very simple logic which i think DCAC faculties follow that if you are not interested in the lecture you can leave the class or you are allowed not to attend the class. Though it seems quite interesting but at last the loss is of student only because if you miss the class you will not get the attendance and ofcourse not even the academic topic. Attendance is of importance because it carry some marks in internals which you are definately not going to get unless you attend the classes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
