Remarks
I gave the entrance exam at GGSIPU. My rank was around 28000 and I went for the spot round which was the 4th and final round and one must have a DD of 10k to confirm the slot of college and branch on that day. We got college and stream according to rank. Based on my rank I got Instrumentation and Control Engineering branch in Amity School Of Engineering and Technology, Bijwasan. After that When I joined college within 2-3 days I had to submit the remaining fees.
Course Curriculum Overview
I actually happy for the college I got because I heard from seniors who are in reputed colleges that this college provides very good placement. Moreover, this stream has an advantage in GATE because of less competition compared to other branches. The number of teachers was quite well and enough for the students and different subjects. Most of the teachers were Ph.D., Mtech from reputed colleges like IIT. All teachers were good they taught concepts very well. If someone has a problem related to the teacher and a few students complaint about it, teachers got replaced by some other faculty. Teachers were always ready to solve doubts even after the class. Almost every four-month, we have an external examination and we get a center for that in other affiliated colleges of GGSIPU. For passing marks or above-average, it's enough to go through previous papers.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for campus placement in the final year that is the 7th and 8th semesters. Many famous companies visited every year like Samsung, Accenture, Wipro, Google, Microsoft, KPMG, many more. Almost every day we used to get a chance in new companies. I was in the Instrumentation branch and only 2-3 students were not placed because of their performance rest all were placed. The maximum package was 10 LPA and the average was 3.8 LPA. 90% of students get placed. My plan after my degree was to get a good job and make a career in the IT sector.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees were fixed and no hike in my time. There was financial assistance which was funded by the Kejriwal party and it was available in my college. But there were many terms and conditions for it. But I know many students who got this help. The placements were very very good. Because it was part of Amity so we got a chance to sit in all placements related to B. Tech. More jobs were from IT companies and Non-tech Jobs were also there. Many stipend-based companies all came.
Campus Life
Fest name was Amitech it was happening in the month of Feb/Mar and Technofest was conducted in November and we were allowed in IP fest of GGSIPU which was also happened in the same month. No. of books in the library was not much for all the students of the same author but we may find of other authors. Every year 1200+ books added. Classrooms were like school rooms. There was a podium for the teacher and a bench for 3 students with full space. The playground was also very small. At a time one or two groups can play different sports. I was not in sports so I don't know much about it but there were many competitions which students used to take part in held by Amity University and also by the sports club of our college which were held in the nearest park of the college. There were basement rooms and halls for clubs like Dmatrix, O3, IEEE, SAE, Rotaract, etc. I was in DMatrix which was a dance society. That team was very active and appointed choreographer and we participate in many stage performances.
