Remarks
I applied for techno India salt lake but I was not getting the branch I wanted and on the other, I gave the AMPAI entrance exam where I got 13th rank hence got into JIS college of engineering. I had no such quota for admission. Even I gave an exam Gitam aptitude test for gitam University in Vizag where I enrolled myself until at the last moment I decided to join JIS which turned out to be a good decision.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose electronics and communication since I felt this is a branch that keeps us open to both the electronics core department as well as towards the IT industry as well. The faculties are highly qualified in our department which makes it easier for us to learn from their experience as well.
Internships Opportunities
Internshala, Educare, skobotics, etc are the various companies that provide us with internship facilities both paid and non-paid. The internship includes hands-on experience in various programming languages like java C C++ python etc as well as on artificial intelligence, machine learning, app development, robotics, automation, etc. Moreover, courses are also provided but Coursera and NPTEL as well.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placement from the 7th semester generally. A number of software companies including cognizant TCS Nagarro, cisco, Amazon, etc take a lot of students from our college and mostly 80-85% of students get placed everywhere. After getting my degree I want to go for a core job and then finally do my MBA in the mere future.
Fees and Financial Aid
I feel the study package is very reasonable as compared to other private colleges in the country. Moreover, the college provides scholarships to TFW students. Moreover, the college provides us with the latest technology in order to give us good knowledge about our course.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is very good and happening. We have a lot of cultural and technical events going around in our college throughout the year. Moreover, the college puts a lot of effort towards uplifting the sporting side of our college as well as a result plenty of sports event is organized throughout the year.
